Re: Next Generation Plans
When the next consoles come out I'm planning on buying a new PC.
So, that and university....cash isn't going to be all over the ****ing place.
It's funny. Nintendo's stance has been that they don't see online gaming as profitable. Well, funnily(yes it's a word)enough I won't be purchasing their next console because of their genius marketing strategy. WAY TO BE PROFITABLE NINTENDO!
I used to only think of getting a Nintendo console, but unfortunately their retardedness has altered my choice. If I do purchase a console it will either be a PS3 or Xbox2.

And then what happened?Mmm. What do you really want to ask me?
What is cash?
What was so funny about it?When was this exactly?Well that's okay.
When is funnilyyes it not a wordenough he or she will not be purchasing their next console because of their genius marketing strategy?
Quite honestly, I wouldn't worry myself about that.
By now you do not do only think of getting a Nintendo console but unfortunately their retardedness has altered his or her choice anymore?Try it.

Re: Next Generation Plans
I'll probably be getting the N5, but I think Nintendo should be taught a lesson.... perhaps I'll wait with buying it.

Re: Next Generation Plans
I'll have to see about my money situation... But probably a PS3 if it is anything like how PS2 was this generation.
But the only way I will get a next gen system is if I win it somewhere, or receive it as a gift.

I don't think waiting to buy an N5 is going to teach Nintendo a lesson, lol.

Re: Next Generation Plans
It's because nintendo doesnt understand online gaming fully.
Nintendo believes that people wont pay an extra service fee like Microsoft has for Xbox live. Which is some degree is true. some people like me wont.
However nintendo believes that they have to put up the servers to host games so people can play online, there by loosing money if they offer it free like Sony. Which is False. the players can be the hosts for the servers themselves. much line sony does online. one player hosts and another connects.
My hope is that consoles will integrate more with computers and people can set up full servers to run 24/7 like they do on PC games. except hosting console games instead.
Nintendo needs to do a little more research because making a game online compatable doesnt make them lose money, it makes the game sell more.

Re: Next Generation Plans
I read the other day that 40% of people with internet access have Broadband so there is no reason for Nintendo not to get in next gen. Plus, with the government pushing to make broadband available to everyone (wireless, over the power lines, etc...)I think if Nintendo doesnt announce an online plan next gen. they are done for because online console gaming has taken off alot since the DC days.

Re: Next Generation Plans
I agree Null, and sometimes online gaming is the difference between buying a game for one console or another. My plans this generation were tobuy my EA games on GCN... but Ps2 introduced online gaming and the ability to download updated rosters, while the GCN version had GBA conectivity. *thinks about which is better*
Online gaming can swing game sales(EA sports), Hardware sales (HDD and headset for Ps2), and console sales (Xbox/Ps2 over GCN). Also, the online gaming community is growing and having strong ties to the systems that have the online games... Just think about every person on Xbox live, every person with a Ps2 Network adapter, and every person currently playing games online through PC. By not including online gaming you are cutting that market out.

I'm glad we agree. What else is the difference between buying a game for one console or another?
Where did you get your
plans this generation were tobuy his or her EA games on GCN?Umm.
What happened to it?
I think *thinks about which is a lot of things.
What is that?I am thinking about every person on Xbox live every person with a Ps2 Network adapter and every person currently playing games online through PC.Will that accomplish your objective?
