That's not the problem. The router just isn't working anymore. It has worked at my dad's friend's house, but not here anymore. When I we try to install the software, when it gets to the Router configuration, the installing stops. I don't understand what the problem is. Maybe comcast did something over here. Maybe they knew we were using a router. Comcast doesn't like it when people use routers apparently, because they want people to have more than one modem, so they can have two separate services in one house if someone has two computers. Maybe they did something so we couldn't use the router by not allowing the IP that you get when you configure the router. I feel kind if ignorant in saying that..because I don't know a lot on the subject, but it's just an idea.

Re: Routers suck
i told you. the reset resets the memory. tis like you skip over everything i say.
If its working at your dads friends house. He might of config'd it differntly for his network. resetting it would put it back to default settings.
And id you ever try typing in the damn number?

Re: Routers suck
If your router has WAN on the back like it does in that picture than maybe you just bought the wrong router? Mine says internet on the back.
Have you consulted the website support section, you can also call the people or speak with them in a little chat box. I've done that before. Don't give up!

Re: Routers suck
yanno seriously. would it have been so hard to answer one question?
Your problem is so easy to fix. but you dont answer any questions about it, and expect to get an answer.
