I got my RAM at Newegg for I think $83 a stick. That's 512mb DDR 3200. I don't keep up much with RAM prices, but I think that's fairly good.

I too got mine from newegg but the timings on it are 2-2-2-6 so its some of the fastest pc-3200 ram from Kingston (HyperX Series). If I can find some 2x512 sticks that are like 2-3-2-6 ill live with it

Do you guys actually need the upgrades or are you just upgrading to keep up with technology and the new stuff? Just wondering. I would like to upgrade as well, but I've got no money to do that right now and I don't think I really need an upgrade, my AMD 1.4ghz is still holding up fine. Although it doesn't hurt to have the best, I'm not a big PC gamer and I don't think I need a faster machine yet.

Wish I could upgrade as freely as some of you are.

How big are the differences when you upgrade from 1.4ghz to like a 2+ghz? I know going from 300mhz to 1.4ghz was big. It was a drastic improvement.

Next planned upgrade, is to get a DVD burner. What's yours?

Since I game quite a bit I like to upgrade when I can. My current computer took me a few months to complete because all I did was buy the core componenets at first, then each check buy a few more things to it. And I started in November and I believe finished up "unofficially" sometime in January.
