Wrestlemania XX

Wow. That was a great Wrestlemania. One of the best I've ever seen. Here are the major results:

Christian over Jericho - For my money the best all around match of the night for pure work rate, plus a great heel turn made the angle even deeper. Check it out when it gets released on DVD.

Goldberg over Brock Lesnar - Lesnar is leaving the WWE to go after a career in the NFL (moron) so he basically had to lose. The match itself sucked but the atmosphere around it was surreal. Goldberg and Brock stood in the ring for three minutes before locking up as the crowd was just tearing Lesnar to pieces for leaving.

Guererro over Angle - This match may have been too slow and ground based for some, but I liked it even though it wasn't the greatest match. It was still a very good one with a great creative ending. I'll let you see for yourselves on TV, its too much to explain.

Undertaker over Kane - Man, the BOTCHED the Undertaker's return as The Dead Man. It started out great. The lights went out and then you heard a high pitched "OH YES!" and Paul Bearer comes back along withe the Druids. So does the Taker come back in his full regailia to make the whole unbelievable angle work? NOPE. He basically looks exactly the same with a leather trenchcoat and a cowboy hat. All that build up and they screwed it up completely. Only in the WWE...

Benoit over HHH and HBK - My favorite match of the night. I'm a Benoit mark and his making HHH tap out was one of the highlights of my fandom. After the match Benoit's emotion was palpable. You can't fake that.

LOL, I posted the same thing as you strangler so I'm just gonna copy my post here and delete mine.

That was pretty good. A few surprises. Like Paul Bearer returning. I laughed when I heard his voice as the Undertaker was coming out. And it looks like the Undertaker has lessened alot on the "biker" look and going back to his "old school" look. Good thing IMO.

The "Playboy Evening Gown Match" was a small dissapointment to me. Tacking on the word Playboy made no sense as I was expecting more

. But oh well. It was still good enough to see Stacy in red

The Goldberg/Lesnar match made me yawn for the first few minutes. I was getting so bored and tired with them just grappling, then breaking off and looking at each other again. Eventually they decided to fight, but by that time, I didn't care too much until the end of the match. But it was cool when Stone Cold stunned Goldberg.

I can't wait for Raw. I'll have to tape it, but I must see it to see how Goldberg will react and see what the Undertaker is gonna do next.

Overall, a very good WM. It was worth the $50

O man, that's so crappy and I wanted him to beat Goldberg so bad. :'(

Taker is SD, and I don't think Goldberg signed a contract extension with the WWE (or did he?)

Sadly, I didn't get to watch WM this year, but I heard that the crowd booed Goldberg and Brock out of the arena... Seems Stone Cold's lil stunners are gonna just make him even more of a fan fav

I also heard that the Triple threat match was the best match of the night. Not suprising to me because HBK always seems to put on a great match, and HHH losing would be a huge way to cap off the night. I can't say I expected beniot to win, but I guess that makes him Raw exclusive now

What I read that is making me the most excited is that WMXXI will be at the staples center!!!! That means I must save up my dough because I'm going to have to try and get in.

Maybe Taker will be on Raw tonight just because Kane is pissed off or something............

I thought the PPV was average, just too long and filled with way too much filler and well throwaway matches.

I mean for the most part the matches you mentioned were enjoyable, I also happened to like the Cena/Show match, but then again I've thought Big Show has been improving for some time.

It just didn't feel too much like WrestleMania till the final three matches.

The whole UnderTaker look is just weird, reminds me of Walker, Texas Ranger and all. I mean at the very least why not make him get hair extensions? I'm sure people would have brought his hair grew back a lot in the last 5 months, maybe not back to it's old height, but till..

I loved the end to the Eddie/Angle match and that was one of the damndest near-falls I ever saw off the frog splash, I could have sworn the ref counted 3, but it was close.
