Though I believe it won the most ever for being a sweep, as in Ben Hur and Titanic were nominated for more than the 11 they won and RoTK won everything it was nominated for. |

I figured this would happen. The academy didn't really want to give LotR awards every year so they wait for the third one and award them for the trilogy. I think it's great. They deserve every one of those awards. LotR was a masterpiece. It required experts in every field to make it possible. Hooray for Lord of the Rings!
