MP doesn't have auto aim, it has lock on aiming similar to Vice City. It doesn't have precision aiming like a real FPS. So it could work in 3rd person if they move the camera over the shoulder like in GTA:VC. All console FPS have auto aim to an extent, but lock on aiming is a whole different story. not always something to lock on to. sometimes you have to look up to see things, or look where to climb. Not just to shoot enemies.

the way it would work, is something like zelda, or MGS, where as when looking up is needed it switches to first person view.

I'm just sayin, the question wanst what kind of game you prefer, it was which mode is better. And the better mode almost always depends on the game being played.
