Looks better now...still kind of sucks having to go back to the main screen, scroll to the bottom and hit mark all read. I liked just clicking on mark all read at the top

You don't have to go to the main page. You can scroll to the top of any page and click the 'Quick Links'' button and a drop down menu will come up and there's a 'Mark All Forums Read' option that you just click.

Re: Gamma release notes
Looks really nice.. I'm proud the VB team actually made something default look so good. =D
Bond, the snowflakes are getting really annoying now... My post reply screen won't load as quick as the others, and my typing is lagged when I type in the box. Bleugh. It's nice and all, but it's annoying.
Oh, and try making the logo fit into the style like they did in the default.. you know, where it's just on the top left part of the style. Switch back to default style template for that and just change the actual image on the FTP. The "folder" look to the logo would make it look better.

Yes, I know. But I wanted to get something up quick that we could use for the time being. I might do that later today...

I wholeheartedly agree, Dyne.
I use Mozilla Firebird, so I don't get the snowflakes, but I switched back to IE [just] to see what the fuss was about. It looks really nice, but you know what, I just don't think its worth adding lag and causing a few problems here and there for snowflakes.
Just my two cents.

Re: Gamma release notes
I love the new VB3 Gamma. Its awesome.
When we eventually get custom color schemes, it will be truly perfect.
And Im using Firebird, so I dont have to worry about all this lag you speak of. But I can open up IE anytime I want to look at it, which is nice.

Re: Gamma release notes
We're going to make a blue/white color scheme as the default. Eventually we'll roll out an alternate style with a much darker look. Users will be able to select which one they wish to view.

Re: Gamma release notes
Im glad the snowflakes seem to be gone...because when they were on my CPU usage jumped from 60-90, while under normal internet use its at like 2 or 0. And it was really noticable while running programs in the backgroud.

Re: Gamma release notes
I just noticed the new set-up for the forum of the month. I really like it. But shouldn't the Halloween one be labeled as Oct '03?

Re: Gamma release notes
I've given us a little more expanded breathing room now. We're still working on a more unique style.
