Actually, as I recall, X-Box was doing quite poor in Europe (relative to Nintendo and particularly Sony). But if anybody has the actual figures please post them. I definately could be wrong.

(I'm not picking on you but) why do people call the system 'X-Box'? The name is 'Xbox' not 'X-Box'. That is as weird as saying 'Game-Cube' or 'Play-Station'

Bad habit I've gotten into, I suppose. I do it almost without thinking. A lot of early reports about the "Xbox" reported it as the "X-Box". So, when I used to talk about it on the forums (specifically in the days of NDose), that was how it was frequently reffered to. So I just kinda got into it, and never got out of it.

Glad to see Nintendo is 'back in the game' and number 1!

I think Mario Kart definately had some influence and I bet the Warppipe Project also sold a percentage of November Gamecubes.

On a sidenote, X-Box or Xbox (whatever you choose) is a very stupid name. For lack of creativity, I'm afraid I can't grant this console's name any mercy.

You're mistaken. Xbox has had very strong sales in Europe. The Gamecube has had a hard time selling. I won't post a link because I'm too lazy, so you'll have to take my word on it.

I really really want to know the sales figures of Europe...

And Nintendo better start advertising NOW, with Mario Kart, 1080 (all the other snowboarders have ads), Mario Party 5, and perhaps Final Fanstasy CC.

They used to have those cool ads where they show upcoming games in a row... with cool music and stuff. Those were very good, we wants them back!

I saw the NA commercial for 1080 the other day. I thought it was Amped 2 until I saw the Gamecube Logo. O_O Looks really nice.

I'll probably be the first one to get it here anyway.

The IGN review wasn't too positive. They say the sense of speed is awesome, but that the tracks are too short and there aren't enough avalanches. Bad trick system, comparing...
