I've learned that faster computers are not often compatible with older games (especially newer OS's), but X-Com seems to work fine with me. Sorry again that I couldn't help.

Actually, you answered this question perfectly Yoda. I'm runing a GeForce3 graphics card, and that's what wouldn't allow the game to run, according to Infogrames.
They said WinME should play it fine, but the GeForce3 needed either a VESA 2 patch, which PNY didn't have, or if I was wiling to take a chance, buy a program called "Display Doctor". Infogrames dosen't endorse Display Docotor, in other words they don't troubleshoot problems with it, but said it had helped some people play the game, and that it was worth a try, unfortunatly, there was no version of Display Doctor for the GeForce3.The company that makes Display Doctor said to check back from time to time, and see if they release one though.
