I got MGS2...

I'm glad I didn't even come near it until now... this is the best $20 game I have ever purchased in my life! I was expecting it to be more like MGS for Psx (which was more fustrating for me, well, the begining was )... I haven't really got anywhere in the game yet, but I have been creeping around testing the AI and messing with the environments.

I just got past the first battle with the girl... I only got about an hour on the game. I'm still not completley used to the controll scheme. I have two questions:

1) Is it possible to steal things from guards like guns and stuff, if so, how?

2) is there any way to murder sombody in hand-to hand combat?

I looked all through the guide, yet to find anything on either subject.
