(AP) - In hopes of winning less time in prison, Martha Stewart has asked friends to write to the judge who will determine her sentence for lying about a stock sale. Stewart asked people to write about her character, work ethic and integrity in letters to U.S. District Judge Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum, who will issue the sentence in June. "If possible, include any memorable experiences you have had with me to explain the basis of any expressed opinion(s)," Stewart wrote in her letter, dated March 12.

That's the gist of it. I find it funny because she thinks letters can sway a judge's decision. Personally, if I was a judge, I wouldn't care too much about the letters just because of the fact that if the person commited the crime, DO THE TIME. Famous or not famous, its not gonna help as much. Don't try getting other people to "beg" to the judge Martha, you knew the consequences of doing Insider training so don't be a pansy, do the time.
