"meh" is a term used out of sloth... as used by the Simpsons characters many times.

Seeing as how the Simpsons utterly despise Canadians, they would not use one of their terms as a token word.

Then you don't know the proper use of "eh". "Eh" is used to request confirmation. Sounds about right, eh?

We get all of your movies. And we watch them.
True story.
Meh is the equivelent of a shoulder shrug. And did you know that Matt Groening's father is Canadian and that's who Homer Simpson is based on? Pretty nutty.

Re: What is Canada?
Canada is cool. I've been there 4 or 5 times. We actually played a rock show there once for the North by Northeast extravaganza. The Canadian woman at the border said, "you guys don't look like rockers"...It was a fun time, and I'll go back to Canada soon enough because my family has a house and cabin in Maine about 20 minutes away from Canananananada

Exactly! Most Canadian use "eh" in the right form.. They just don't really know what it means. It basically makes a statement a question, or a request of information like you said.
ie.
Joe: "That movie was really good, eh"
Bob: "Yes. Yes it was."

About how big is Canada?
Uhh, pretty dang big, i'd say about the size of texas
Did you know VCRs were just legalized in Canada?
Really? Already?
What are your thoughts on the Polar Bear hunting marathon every year on Toronto?
Oh, I think its very creul and should be stopped immediatly

Well, the movie was entitled "American Ignorance", of course they wouldnt show any intelligent Americans in the movie. Most of us here are not that dumb. I will admit that us Americans do not know as much about current Canadian events and Canadian culture as Canadians know about America. How would we? All the news on channels such as CNN is American news, or about America in another country. We dont even have the opportunity to learn about current Canadian issues.
I could go out and make a movie and call it "Canadian Ignorance", but I doubt I would get anything like what was in "American Ignorance", simply because Canadians know more about America than Americans know about Canada.
But like I said before, most Americans are not stupid enough to say that Canada is the size of Texas. Obviously that moron has never even glanced at a map. And about the VCR's, I have no idea why an American would say that. The things that come to most americans mind is this "Cold, Snowy, Hockey, and fishing." The other "first thing" that comes to peoples mind is that Canada is like Americas brother. That is how a common layperson sees Canada.

Re: What is Canada?
lol, i heard an interesting comment today :
Canada and america is like kazaa and kazaa lite, all of the good stuff none of the sh*t
i don't actually believe this, well on some points such as the lack of slavery in Canada as well as guns not being part of the constitution, but other than some points, Canada is essentially the same thing as america, in fact many of the stars in hollywood and music come from canada, including jim carrey, ashton kutcher, Shania Twain, Not By Choice, and many more that i can't remember off the top of my head, but you'd be surprised. Also many movies are shot in Canada, such as bulletproof monk, all of that was Toronto. in any case, Southern Canada is just aboot the same thing as america.
Also where did the "aboot" originate, because i've known all the time that it was from americans, but than south park said it was canadians, but the only reason i say it is because it sounds funny. I have yet to meet anyone that uses it on a daily basis
