XBLA: Perfect Dark
I would post this in my XBLA/PSN/WiiWare thread, but under the impression most people don't pay attention to that.
Perfect Dark is a enhanced port of the N64 game from Rare. It stars daring heroine Joanna Dark, and technically is the sequel to Xbox 360 launch title Perfect Dark Zero.
The game comes out this Wednesday for only 800 MSP or $10 bucks to real people.
It adds, online co-op and 8 player deathmatch, and of course, improved textures/graphics.
The game will also finally have a framerate!!! So it will be playable with causing me motion sickness from the jerkiness.
• 60 frames per second
• Online multiplayer including Co-Operative, Counter-Op and Challenges
• Leaderboards
• GoldenEye weapons will now be available in multiplayer
• First Xbox Live Arcade game with 20 achievements
• Avatar awards
SO FREAKING EXCITED ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY! i have by far sunken more hours into this game than any other, including MW2, cod:w@w, pokemon red/blue, smash, soulcalibur 2/4... and yeah, you get the idea. Some games I play a LOT. and Perfect Dark is at the top of all those. Real framerate, smoothed out textures, dual analog control, online multiplayer... i have been asking for this since I first played Perfect Dark Zero and realized that it did not hold a candle to this original. I may even be staying up until 2am PDT to snag the second it hits XBLM

Personally, I wouldn't stay up until 5am but that's just me.
I mean will you even have much time to play it once it finishes downloading?
One of my favourite things was to use the slayer rocket launchers 2nd fire mode, which lets you take control, and have rocket races with my brother.
Yeah there was so much stuff you could do in PD. I also loved the Farsight (XRay) battles.
The friends I played it with weren't too smart. They always chose to play with 1-hit-kills, but they never sprayed with their bullets: they still took time to carefully aim. I just stormed around the corner shooting like a crazyman. Which worked.

That is the biggest problem with those Rare games (GoldenEye and Perfect Dark). I'd say about 25% of the time, I don't know what the f is going on. I can only assume that the only reason why I still win is because no one else can tell either.
No where near as good as what is being put out nowadays.

Weird.
I think, for me anyhow, it dealt more with the fact that the game just wasn't fluid. Often times the framerate would hover somewhere around 10 FPS which just makes a jerky and laggy looking experience.
