No. It's not obsolete.
People are going to keep buying Gameboy. It's not the obsolete, clearance item people make it out to be. Nintendo's just beating a horse that's not dead yet - I'm willing to bet that this will push at least a million sales.

perhaps its different in japan, but for me, smaller screen is just making things worse.

Point is, they already had the AGB SP. Now they have 3 things that do the same..... And I'd hate to watch such a tiny screen.

OMG, the world is going to end. You'd hate to watch such a tiny screen? I have an idea, don't buy one. Not like they don't offer you alternate ways to play your GBA games, like your GBA, GBA SP, GB Player, and DS.
Apple has 4 iPods. Oh no!
