I like the broken glass one.

I realize, if I buy the Gameboy Micro, I'll then have 10 different ways to play my Gameboy Advance games. I don't want that.

But the decal designs are kind of cool.

Have they said anything about linking? I would be all over this if I could use it in FF:CC and Four Swords.

Most of the custom faceplates look pretty crappy. I'd stick with one of the base colors like white, blue, or silver.

does anyone honestly care about GB Micro?

If I still played GBA games on handhelds I would snatch this up. Plus wooden paneling...my Atari 2600 will have a little buddy. A little late though.

The obvious winning faceplate would be a NES controller faceplate.

But yeah, the Game Boy Micro, or Game Boy Metro as I've begun to call it because of Reggie's comments of tight pants and accessories, is not exciting me. I have a GBA (not even SP) and a DS. I don't need this.

If it's cheap, I might get it. I haven't had a Nintendo handheld since the GB Color. But still, I could go out and get a super cheap used GBA or SP instead.

hell yea! im all about having to squint my eyes and hold a handheld 1 inch infront of my face just so they can prove how small they can make one!

lol Null...

I like the handheld, but I dont think I'll get it, unless it was aroun $50... theres no way that it'll be more...

Re: The micro colors Duke! The micro colors!

$50 is a little too much to ask for a small ass handheld like that.... It's obsolete... just making it "micro" sized doesn't make it any better then any of the current GBA/SP/DS handhelds that are out.

I really dont see this making it in the market... everyone who has GBA's and such probably won't grovel at the sight of a small gameboy... Although Gameboys were massive like oldies brick cell phones... LOL

All that aside... this product almost seems pointless from Nintendo, it's almost as if they rushed this out to offset not showing anything about Revolution at the press conf.

I think everyone that is beside Nintendo on this, is STILL waiting for Revolution details and something they can be excited about...

following up on the recent question... Will anyone actually jump at the chance to own a small gameboy when they have a GBA/C/SP and DS???

Re: The micro colors Duke! The micro colors!

I won't be jumping, I haven't played a GBA game in a LONG time. None of the games interest me. It's a shame too, because I wasted money on 2 normal GBAs and an SP. The only Nintendo handheld that is enjoyable for me is the DS. Even though Nintendo doesn't classify the DS as a Gameboy, that's pretty much what it is.

Gameboy Micro = Disappointing Gimmick

It'll sell nevertheless though. Youngsters will want it and parents will like the smaller price tag. It's an economic alternative if you can't afford a DS or the awesome PSP.

Re: The micro colors Duke! The micro colors!

I see it being a cheap alternative to the SP honestly. I have the original GBA and a DS. But if I want quality back-lit gameplay I have to play GBA games on my DS. That just plain sucks because the button layout is all wrong because A & B on a DS is where they were on a Super Nintendo and not where they were on the GBA or NES.

So yes, I honestly may get this instead of a hard to hold SP.

Is SP hard to hold? Have you ever held one?

This Game Boy Micro..... well.... perhaps nice as a birthday present, if it's $40 or so.

Yeah, I test them out everyday working at Gamestop. I hate the things.
