Stupid windows..... question
Suddenly my computer requires me to log in. I didn't change any options that I know of and now I can't find out how to change it back.
I want my PC to boot up without me. I am the only user so I don't need those stupid account thingy. No clicking on names, no entering of passwords..... just boot up my PC.
Where do I change this? I have found the user accounts options, but no useful option so far.
Thanks!
And this time I won't answer myself because I'm going to sleep!

Re: Stupid windows..... question
I have the same problem as of late and doing that doesn't help. I either get screen to put in password or screen to click on username. I can't just have computer start up without either of those now and changing how users log on/off only lets switch between those two options.

Yeah same here. MuGen, that's the first thing I tried, it doesn't help.

Re: Stupid windows..... question
Normally that happens when you enable a password for your user.

Re: Stupid windows..... question
More than a year later I still have the same problem. Because I removed some malware a while back, I thought I could try to fix the problem again, but to no avail.
If so many people have this problem, shouldn't we know by now now to fix it? Today I couldn't boot up my PC because I had changed my settings (until I alt-tabbed and found the login screen behínd the bootup screen).

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks mate! It worked!
I simply removed the account ASPNET and now I don't have the problem anymore. Anyone else who still hasn't fixed it: try removing some accounts you don't need!

Re: Stupid windows..... question
The only user I could delete was something like ASNET. I can't remove the guest or administrator user.
Maybe removing that helped...

Re: Stupid windows..... question
Download this:
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe
Within the program, go to the logon section, then in the sub-menu, go to autologon. Then check the box that says 'log on automatically at system startup'.
Its an 'official' Microsoft program so don't worry about malware, spyware, etc...
