But if there really is a character you need to play the game, that you need to pay extra for - that is a load of BS.

I guess the thing is..
This is how far we've come this generation.
From expecting a full game experience on day 1.. to sweet, at least I'll be able to buy the whole experience at some point!
As much as I hate this practice, it isn't the day one DLC that bothers me.
Its the cascading of the fanbase that somehow people who buy the CE are more valuable and loyal a fan than those who buy the normal edition.
And its bunk, its an evolution of the online pass.. now you don't even get everything if you buy the frigging game new!
