Need songs for playlist

Due to the staggering lack of things to accomplish during the summer months, I've been listening to a lot of music. I've listened the **** out of pretty much everything I have and would like to make a new playlist.

So if any of you would like to suggest some good songs, I would greatly appreciate it.

*Quirks brow at ZebraRampage*

Well, I may not have all of that but I have a few suggestions myself:

1. Nine Inch Nails

2. Back Sabbath

3. Led Zeppelin

Lately, I've been listening to certain bands as well if you wanna check them out:

4. Breaking Benjamin

5. Flaw

6. Seether

7. Chimaira

8. Spineshank

9. Lostprophets

I strongly suggest Breaking Benjamin and Lostprophets if you're gonna check any of these out.... They are really good and extremely underrated in my point of view. But, alas, that always makes a band/artist more kick ass, doesn't it?

So, that's my 2 cents......

..And it looks like I'm the j-rock guy around here, if DH doesn't come in this thread.

Dir En Grey (Cage, most other stuff), X Japan (Silent Jealousy or that 30 minute long one, if you can find it) Glay (most stuff) Gackt (I like all of it, specifically the Rebirth album), L'arc~en~Ciel (more Mainstream, happy sound), and others. If it's on Kazaa someone probably likes it (and therefore wants to share it).

Does anyone know any really good bands from the 80s? I'd really like to get into some more 80s music, but I have no connections to it, so if anyone could let me know a few bands, that would make me happy.

Yeah, lots.

I personally love Mika Nakashima (See sig). Ayumi Hamasaki is standard, Hikaru Utada is great. Then there's BoA, the korean/japanese singer. M-flo if you like Japanese rap (hah) then there's lots of groups like The Colourless who are nice.

I'm not really sure about their real names, so I couldn't tell you. I just know about them from my dad, and he has one of their records. Anyway..I figured out all the bands I want some music for.

Yardbirds, Byrds, The Hollies, Jimi Hendrix, Kinks, Romantics, and ELP.

I would download music, but I deleted those programs because of spyware problems. If anyone has any good mp3s by these bands, I would really appreciate if you could send them. My email address is MrStu29@hotmail.com and my aim is SilentHawk72.

Good for you. But for every $15 you drop on a CD the band makes $1 and the rest goes to the recording industry. It's BS. Unless you're buying music by somebody who has a crapload of effects and editing done to their music and the "artist" pretty much does nothing (i.e. Britney Spears), it's really not a fair workout.

I'd rather send $10 to the band or go to one of their concerts than pay for CD that they won't benefit from. That isn't saying that I don't buy CD's. If I really like a group, I frequently do.

But bands benefit much more from concert goers than CD buyers.

By the way, if you're sending files to each other, www.dropload.com is the best way to go.

Well...I guess I'm done....finally. That took quite a while..have fun Dylflon.

I keep updating the Beatles....I've come close to posting a whole album...like three times.. They're just that good..in my opinon.

Of course, this isn't good for a playlist, but still, it's a good amount of songs to listen to.

Edit: If I feel like it later, I'll just add some more bands to this list with the songs that I know of. Expect the Rolling Stones, Eagles, Doobie Brothers, Billy Joel, Wings, Elton John, and King Crimson.

Re: Need songs for playlist

I was about to post a request that someone give me a list of good classics, but then I saw your post, zebra. Thanks a lot, I'm off to start a downloading tons of music.

Sorry Typh, but I dont want to spend my money on CD's when I can just as easily get them free. I dont know why it makes you mad that people download music, because you download tons of computer games.

hmmmmm, now it's time to do a little "shopping".

Ummmmmm.

I suppose they could be considered Progressive Rock, there's a lot of keyboards/synth mixed in with their beatlesesque pop stylings, but I think there's just a little too much of a poppy sound to call them Progressive Rock/Prog.

Great band either way.

I buy CDs from time to time. But it's a fact that you pay too much for them. So in my mind, it's 'ok' to download 2 CDs from an artist while I purchase another....

Hey!
Dylflon!

How about some updates? What did you like/dislike, what are you still looking for, etc.
