Angrist - Han Solo (Villager) 2. BlueFire - General Grievous (Mafia) MAFIA WINS! I have just a few observations: - The mafia were at somewhat of an advantage, as the villagers had one less player than they should have. - Jeepnut had the game completely figured out all the way back in round 3, after Combine died, he posted this: Quote:
- BlueFire really won the game for the mafia - congratulations! |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
We did it!
We friggin did it! Yes most of the credit goes to Bluefire for flying under the radar until the very end, but we did it! :D |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Dang, we kind of blew it. Bluefire would've been my vote had I been around to tell, but oh well. Getting it to 1-1 wasn't too bad of a result, my voting record was pretty good except for Nighthawk.

Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Lies, I thought it was Angrist, despite his posts. Looks like BLueFire fooled me.
At least I sowed the seed's of BaB's demise during round two even though they did not come to fruition till round three, when jeepnut watered them. Fyacin? What the fook man? You Vigilante'd me. How could I have made it any clearer that I was a good guy? Not even a PM to try and find out first? Seems odd that the Mafia killed my brother Darmani on the same night. What happened there then? You fear our early alliance with one another? In all honesty I think the fact the mafia won is down to some shoddy playing by the villagers in the last few rounds. You lost your heart for the game guys, what happened aye? You were on fire then suddenly just died down and seemed to give up. I was so frustrated because I had noticed what Bond mentions above. I could sware Bube was not Mafia but could not say. I shouted at the pc but no one heared me. BLueFire, didn't see that one, you duped me man. So anyway as I said all the way back at the start (in the rules thread) - Quote:
Nice game Bond, I thoroughly enjoyed it mate ;) Except when I got killed :mad2: |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Nicely played BlueFire.
|
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Eh, I feel like I totally failed as a vigilante. Bluefire was actually going to be my kill on the night I died, but I didn't have time to change it.
I have a question for the Mafia though, how did you manage to pick me out like that? |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Wow. I'm surprised I actually made it. Seriously.
Angrist, Bube, jeepnut and Germy- you guys were the biggest threats. I honestly didn't think I'd make it past Round 5 or 6. That was a lot of fun. And for the most part... luck was on my side. :p |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Well that was fun.

It was actually pretty easy since the villagers gave us all the information. Let's start with the Seer, Dylflon came out and told us he was the Seer so we knew that from round 1. He also did us a favor as I intended to kill him round 1 as he had the most experience, he was also the most deadly oppenent, but as he asked the Guardian for protection, I didn't waste the kill. The Guardian, thanks to Dylflon tipping off the thread that he was in contact with the supposed Vigilante, I narrowed the field down to those he knew in real life which was Typhoid and Swan, Typhoid made the most sense because of their relationship, and he all but confirmed it to me while talking during round one. The Vigilante, I suspected was either Swan or Fyacin due to the lack of a kill in round 1, but when he killed in round 2 and Swan wasn't active at all, I figured it out. Germie also helped as he sent me a message showing that at the end of round 2, Jeepnut, Ric and Fyacin were all PMing, I already knew Ric and Jeepnut were in an alliance so figured Fyacin was the Vigilante and was trying to get his kill in last second. We didn't kill Dylflon after killing the Guardian because we needed some way to divert the attention that idea came from Teuthida as I originally intended to kill off Dylflon in round 2, but he mentioned that if he was Mafia, he would keep him alive in hopes that people voted him off in round 3. Before my death, I left Bluefire a list of people to kill and why Dylflon because he had the best chance of figuring us out. Jeepnut because no one in their right mind would vote against him. Vamp becuse he and Teuthida were the only two who were confirmed goodies once Dylflon was confirmed as Seer. No one expected the game to last that long so I'm glad Bluefire made some snap calls in his kills essentially breaking up little alliances. And a lot of luck helped in the final round. So once again thanks to team Dark Side, Combine, Tornado, myself and of course Bluefire! :D |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Really, I almost think us killing BaBs was the action that made it all fall apart for the villagers. As soon as he died, I felt lost and didn't know where to turn from there. He was the only one I was sure of.
That was a great game though. I'm looking forward to the next one. Very well played BlueFire. |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Got lazy once it was proven I was a goodie and didn't have to go so deep into my reasons why I thought someone was a goodie or baddie. Just voted for whoever after that.
But kind of funny though. Every single mafia game I make it to the very last round only to lose and die. |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Tornado not posting for two rounds also caused some confusion for a while, we didn't have anything to go on.
I think in the future if you miss more than 1 round you should get killed. :P |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
I enjoyed spectating the game to say the least, and hopefully will be around and have enough time to participate in the next game. I think BaB was the only super-suspect guy throughout the whole thing, everyone else played a pretty low-key game. I don't think I'll ever trust BaB in a mafia game.
|
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
I can't really comment on anything since I was the first one killed in the game, because Dylflon said he was in contact with someone claiming to be the vigilante (which I never actually claimed to be - I just didn't answer him when he asked me what I was).
I did however watch every thread, and it seemed obvious (to me, anyhow) that Tornado and BF was mafia. I also assumed Three Dog was, because he owed me a backstabbing after last game.:p The vigilante seemed to lack purpose at times, however. Which was a major downfall for the innocents. |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
Haha. :D Blast, wrong decision after suspecting BF all this time!! That's really a shame... I figured my last minute thinking really made sense, but I should have went with my instinct. Quote:
Bond, you say Bube was inactive in the previous round, so he couldn't be mafia. How can you know for sure? He could just have gotten in to get in his PM kill, but not his posts/vote. The reason I figure he went to bed early was because he had already picked a victim, and he was the only member left, so didn't need to discuss it. Well played BlueFire. :) I still can't believe I went for Bube in the end. Sorry Bube. :( BF, now you and me are the only ones left in the galaxy, how swell. ;) |

And to Vamp -- I agree about the two days inactivity. I was initialing going to be that strict, but then later I decided to be more lenient. I would probably be more strict in the future. Tornadothrasher played the game in a rather unfair manner. |

Bube doesn't use invisible mode, though. I believe we only have one member who does.
But I see your point. |

My greatest legacy was my death though as I watched you folks chase your own tail for two rounds killing off TML and Swan. I will give BF credit for thinking to not always vote with your alliance. Though that bite us in the ass once when Combine refused to vote for Ric which would have killed him. Quote:
Quote:
I don't want to sound too full of myself, but when don't I... I think its simply because as far as I know, I have always been the most active backstage move maker, forming alliances with people here and there. In the game itself, I don't think I've done anything out of the ordinary. Quote:
As an outsider with insider knowledge, I would have assumed Vamp and Angrist was Mafia. Vamp was always changing his votes, and coming up with a scheme to trick people so he could vote against them. My favorite day was when I believe TT/BF were all but voted out, and then Swan enters the thread and Vamp pulls the trigger which creates this effect and somehow the two Mafia survive because the villagers were able to create this scenario in their head. And that was the biggest thing I learned watching this game, at the end of the day it isn't about evidence or voting record, it is about who can get the most people to follow their insane logic. No matter if it goes against their instincts. |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
I'm still pissed off that I didn't go with BF in the end.
Then again, it would have been a coin toss, which is never fun. (Teuthida woke up after the round ended, so he couldn't change his vote.) I'd like to know why I was suspicious in this game. :D I mean, I didn't mind that I was, but I would just like to know what people were thinking. |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Quote:
I actually mentioned to Teuthida before the game started that somehow he always seems to remain under the radar which is why so easy for him to make it to the final round.... he just needs to win one ;) |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
I actually kind of suspected Germy and Angrist once BaB got voted out. I figured BaB and Tornado where the obvious Mafia, but both Angrist and Germy were very vague.
|
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Ric also suspected me. So I was wondering why. :p Because I talked to much etc?

However, a couple of things tipped me off. The first was you contacting me to form an alliance. Never before have we had any significant contact in a mafia game outside of the game threads so I thought that was odd almost right off the bat. The second was your immediate desire to go after Dylflon and your reluctance to vote off someone who wasn't actively playing the game. I kind of wondered, "Why does he care so much?" The third and most substantial clue was when I asked you if we could swing the vote, and you said. Quote:
Well, it was either that or blind rage. Either way, I was convinced you were mafia. |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
So other question: How did we end up voting off Combine? Did it really start with Bube pointing out Combine made a random vote?
|
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
That was fun... so it seems Bube and I were right about BF :D
but still, I know I was kinda passive in this game. first time is always hard :p I'll try to be more active in future games. |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk

Oh and FTR had he voted for me I would have voted for him instead of you making it a draw again so it would have been down to the coin toss. Makes no odd's since Fyacin fucked me up anyway  Quote:
1. hard to see the dark side is 2. one of the devils greatest tricks is deception I had no real proof, just a feeling. Call it intuition if you will ;) Funny how at points in the game I had been in contact with Combine, Three Dog and BLueFire and they all convinced me they were good, for a time. The only ones I was really sure about in the end were Three Dog and tornado. |

And besides, I might have been evil but I wasnt going to stab a friend in the back, at least not then... |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
I've been saying BF was evil ever since we voted Combine off.. Why didn't anybody jump on the boat, and instead turned on me in just 2 rounds? I knew I shouldn't have revealed the Fyacin being a vigilante thing..
|
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
I was counting good and bad calls that you and BF made. BF had way more bad calls. And I've always suspected him.
But you were suspicious because you were inactive, hardly posted. And I got a last minute theory, which made me believe BF was innocent after all. It was an exciting game. :D |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
Not just you, Teuthida also voted for me, although I'm guessing that was because of they Fyacin thing..
Meh, whatever, I think it was a good game as well.. |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
It was a fun game. If I play Mafia next time, I'd like to play on the good side. :p Being a detective sounds more fun than deceit.

Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
I've never been mafia. I'd like to.
|
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
I've only been mafia once.
I found it more fun than being good. |
Re: Mafia: Star Wars – Final Results & Post-Game Talk
I actually would like to have been an evil character in this wars. I was Darth Vader man. I thought it would be fun to play the game from a different angle. I think I told BaB this when I was still alive and trying to convince him I was good, little did I know that he was decieving me at the time.
Still I did enjoy the game as a goodie though. I think a big part of it for me was the Star Wars Theme, I thought it was cool. It is a shame there was no narrative at the end. There were some really funny bits in previous ones. I found it hard to try and read it before I looked down the page to see the results of the round before. |
