As for per suasion: a Griffin isn't even a monster! It usually lets people ride on its back. Leviathan just eats people. And boats. And whales. And Kraken (sorry Ric). And Griffin if they're stupid enough to get close to the seas.

I present to you the papercraft Leviathan...forged from the deep sea. That's right, made of paper so tough it actually came from the water. It would take 4 million years of sitting perfectly still in acid to see any sort of damage. And then it would just look even cooler.
