Frankly I could care less if I got fiber optic cable or not. People really need to be happy with broadband.

eeeexactly.(not a typo) I can understand if people are getting annoyed by broadband since too many people have it now. But if GameMaster's parents are paying for it, good for him.

I'll be fine when I get cable. (Insert comment that's only in my mind here)

My cable is fine for me, because it comes with free hosting, and I only come on at night--when it's blazing fast. It even comes as a package with Digital TV. So, I'm absolutely fine.

And I usually pop over to my dad's work, where he has a T3 line on a network of new iMacs. :) Very, very, very sweet.

http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/internet/03/07/speed.record/

"The team was able to transfer uncompressed data at 923 megabits per second for 58 seconds from Sunnyvale, California, to Amsterdam, Netherlands. That's about 3,500 times faster than a typical Internet broadband connection."

"Imagine ... being able to download two full-length, two-hour movies within a minute," Cottrell said. "That changes the whole idea of how media is distributed."

"Already, Cottrell said he and other scientists have conducted further experiments that break their own record. But those tests have not been certified by Internet2, a consortium of 200 universities researching the future of the Internet, and they must wait for further confirmation before an announcement, he said."

Getting fiber optic internet is really a waste of money at this point in time.

I just rememberd that a small number of people near where I live (outside of city) was able to get fibre optic by hooking up to the fibre optic line runng through as it wasn't really being used much by the hydro company here. They are getting it for the price of cable broadband if I remeber correctly.

Lucky bast.... um .. er .. lucky them yeah.

Im still using dialup...

They dont even have cable or anything where I live, but they are supposed to be installing DSL around my community, so I will hopefully have it someday soon.

**WARNING**
You have reached the end of the internet

Or...YOU will be saying:

"I beat the internet. The end guy is hard."
