I'm listening to
Beck - The information
Joe Satriani - Strange Beautiful Music
Los Hombres Calientes - Vol. 4 - Vodou Dance
Modena City Ramblers - Dopo il Lungo Inverno
I love MCR, an Italian band but with a lot of Irish influence, and several other influences that I'm not knowledgeable enough to pinpoint. I also really love the Satriani album, my first of his. I liked LHC's Vol. 3 much much better.

Well honestly I just got it today. I've heard Nausea on the radio for months, but was waiting to hear something else, and I heard "I think I'm in love", so I decided to go get it. I actually love the album. It's so much different than the other stuff he's done lately.
And I love the stickers, so you can give him moustaches and silly hats.

I think it's funny how his album got pulled from the charts because they though thte stickers gave him an unfair advantage.
But I'm waiting until I get my new acoustic guitar in a few weeks, and I'll splatter one or two stickers on there. Probably of the generic ones, the song names or something. No gigantic Beck face with an eyeball brainhead.

So that's the reason it got pulled from the charts. I read that somewhere, that it was disqualified from the charts in the UK I think, and it said it was disqualified because of the lack of album art and because of the stickers. But it didn't explain why the stickers were so bad. I thought perhaps it was some strange technicality in the music charts esoteric rulebook, if there is one, that if you have a blank album cover then your album doesn't count. But that didn't make sense to me because the album cover is graph paper so it isn't exactly blank.
But that's still a stupid reason. An unfair advantage? Stickers????
Which acoustic are you getting?

That's what I found hilarious. Because the cover art is customizable, that apparently disqualifies the music itself.
And no idea. Nothing extravagent.

I see where you're coming from. Most of the people I've talked to about it like it mainly for the fact that it's supposedley insanely catchy.
Haha, I realized that I'm at fault for being disappointed by the album 100% as I shouldnt be expecting a Fall Out Boy album to be incredibley deep or thought provoking or whatever. It's prolly cus I've been listening to a lot of Dylan, Josh Ritter, Elliot Smith, and other singer songwriters lately. There's no doubt that I'll be singing along to the FOB songs in a couple of weeks anyway.

Listening to it while working on my senior design project, free download off of a link from Wiki. Ah, what a wonderful piece of your musical journey. California is a twisted but fun album. My favorite is still Disco Volante, so I recommend you listen to that if you have not already.
Collapse the Light Into Earth, by Porcupine Tree.
I always recommend PT to everybody - listen to these guys, especially their In Absentia and Deadwing albums.
Yeah Disco Volante is quite a good album, though I have not listened to it in awhile. I really like their self titled album. I should go back and listen to Disco Voilante soon.
And as for Porcupine Tree. Amazing band. In Absentia is one of the best albums I have heard in awhile.
But yeah, I'm listening to Mastodon's Leviathan album. I can't decide whether I prefer this one of Blood Mountain more. Both are great albums but as a whole Leviathan is a bit better in my opinion. It all kind of goes together. The only complaint I have about it is that all the songs sound very similiar. Blood Mountain on the other hand each song is just so....wow.

I know it's been a while since anyone has posted in this thread, but there are so many good bands in here I wanted to give it a bump.
Porcupine Tree is an amazing band. I really like their latest album, Fear of a Blank Planet. Deadwing is good too. "Arriving Somewhere, But Not Here", "Open Car", and the updated version of "Shesmovedon" are amazing.
Mastodon rule as well! I prefer Blood Mountain to Leviathan. I'm real excited to hear their upcoming album, Crack the Skye.
Mr. Bungle has always been hit or miss for me. I do like their self-titled album. I'm actually rocking some Faith No More on Pandora now. "Zombie Eaters" just came on. Amazing song.
The marketing company I work for is actually doing a campaign for Energizer's involvement with the new Pandora message board. It's a great place to go for music promotions and exclusive content. You can check it out at: www.youcastcorp.com/energizer/pandora. It's always nice to have a place to go to discuss music.
