Are you making a concious effort to actually make this go off topic?
And usualy, correct. Key word is Usually. But this thread is not on politics or a political discussion, so alas for you, it has remained on topic.

A review of "Just Lose it" from my favorite indie site...
Hi kids! Do you still like violence? Then get a load of what the disaffected suburban troglodytes who've worshipped Eminem's last three albums do to him when "Just Lose It" hits the airwaves. Despite bringing home that 8 Mile Oscar®, Marshall Mathers has still maintained some semblance of street cred as a confrontational mainstream rap artist. But then, all things end, and this Nickelodeon Nation-targeted nail in the coffin ought to go down as one of the most brutal career-killers since Spies Like Us. Eminem has long courted an adolescent audience, but he overshoots the mark considerably this time, offering enough fart jokes and "bunghole" references to fulfill even the most infantile prepubescent fantasy.
Where to even begin? The song's neutered hook wallows in excruciating cartoon laser-synth overload, set to the most stilted beat this side of a Bop-It. And the taboos! Eminem takes a swipe at Michael Jackson, mugs like Pee-Wee Herman, subjects everyone to a humorless mid-song breakdown tutorial, details an S&M scenario that wouldn't make John Ashcroft blush, and finally, utters the unthinkable clunker: "Guess who's back with a brand new rap!" The deadpan chorus hammers in Em's final nail, making even Eminem's most politically correct foes long for the days when he at least cared about homophobia: "Yeah boy, shake that ass/ Whoops, I mean girl/ Girl, girl, girl." Also, what the **** is "pajama time"?

Ok, the song I first listened to was listed as 'Just Lose It' but was actually a different song. Since then, I've listened to the real 'Just Lose It' and I have to agree it's not that great. There's a couple other songs he's made that I didn't like that much so it's no big deal. It doesn't mean he's not good anymore. I'm not going to write the album off, I'm hoping the other songs are going to be good.

Sage Francis - Makeshift Patriot (http://www.non-prophets.com/media/mp3/sage_francis_makeshift_patriot.mp3)
Full Lyrics (http://www.lyricsbox.com/sage-francis-lyrics-makeshift-patriot-xg5q1lc.html)
"Makeshift patriot,
the flag shop is out of stock,
I hang myself at half mast.
It's the makeshift,
The patriot,
the flag shop is out of stock,
I hang myself while the stock markets crash.
The city is covered in inches of muck.
I see some other pictures of victims erupt.
Grieving mothers are thinking their children are stuck,
leaping lovers are making descisions to jump while holding hands,
to escape the brutal heat;
sometimes in groups of three.
The fallout was far beyond the toxic clouds where people look like debris
but all they say when all was said,
beyond the talking heads,
was the bloody dust with legs,
looking like the walking dead calling for meds.
All the hospitals overwhelmed,
volunteers need to go the hell home.
Moments of silence for firefighters were interrupted by cell phones.
Who's going to make that call, to increase an unknown death toll?
Its the one we rally behind.
He's got a megaphone, promising to make heads roll.
We'd cheer him on, but asbestos is affecting our breath control.
The less we know, the more they fabricate,
the easier it is to sell souls.
(Man talking)
'There is a new price on freedom, so buy into it while supplies last.
Changes need to be made;
no more curbside baggage,
seven pm curfew,
racial profiling will continue with less bitching.
We've unified over who to kill, so until I find more relevant scripture to quote,
remember, our GOD is bigger, stronger, smarter, and much wealthier.
So wave those flags with pride, especially the white part.'"

It's funny you mention that song, my mom suggested I download 'Me and My Arrow' from the same album. Without knowing more about the album, people think arrow is referring to an arrow that is shot with a bow. But it's actually the name of a dog that accompanies a boy named Oblio. And the musical is narrated by Ringo Starr. It actually sounds good and it's supposedly a positive, wholesome musical. I might buy it at Amazon.

funny you mention that song his or her mom suggested he or she download 'him or her and his or her Arrow' from the same album is?"Without your space helmet Dave, you're going to find that rather difficult" -- HAL.Interesting.
I've heard of it before. Thanks for the info. What does "it" refer to? Perhaps. Do you think your plan will succeed?

I totally reccomend it. It's got awesome music to go along with an awesome story. I've only seen the video version once or twice though. I prefer just listening to the auido CD with Nilsson's narration.

Apparently, according to rumor, "Just Lose It" was a song which Em faked. It was designed to poke fun at himself and rap similar to that song. The newly released song "MOSH" is an Anti-Bush song and supposedly the whole Encore album will be Political. Hopefully this is true because I like serious Em more than "Funny" Em.

If you hate it so much, why not request a closure.
But then we would need a reason why it was closed.
Which would spawn such threads as:

I don't know, 'Just Lose It' has it's own music video too and artists always finance their videos so if it was just kind of a joke song, seems to me like he put a lot of money into something not to be taken seriously. He even had Paris Hilton in it, I'm sure that cost something. I agree though in that I like Eminem's more serious emotion songs. I enjoy listening to upbeat ones too though, when I'm just in one of those rocking, party time kind of moods.
