Given: Barney is a CUTE PURPLE DINOSAUR
Prove: Barney is satanic
The Romans had no letter 'U', and used 'V' instead for
printing, meaning the Roman representation would for
Barney would be: CVTE PVRPLE DINOSAVR
CVTE PVRPLE DINOSAVR
Extracting the Roman numerals, we have:
CV V L DI V
And their decimal equivalents are:
100 5 5 50 500 1 5
Adding those numbers produces: 666.
666 is the number of the Beast.
Proved: BARNEY IS SATAN!
hmmm...thats quite amusing

I don't need a formula to tell you Barney is the devil.
It's quite obvious.

Old-school old is right. My email has been barneyis666 for more than four years and it's been my aim screenname since I started using aim.

666 doesn't even mean "the mark of the beast" according to all that **** I read on Catholicism. It just means imperfection.

Wow, that's like worse then the theories I see people try to hard to make on the matrix. Ever hear of the word coincidence? You tried to hard.
Oh btw bluefire's right... JUST CUZ IRON MAIDEN SAYS IT'S THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST DOESN'T MEAN IT ACTUALLY IS. (Althoguh I'm going to see Iron Maiden tomorrow :D)

I was watching some show the other day on one of those weird "information channels" (Discovery, or The Learning Channel or something), and they mentioned something about 666 being the number of "the beast," so... Bah!

Yes basically because the number 6 means flesh, which we are made of and which controls some of us sometimes, hence 666 is imprecfection or flesh to the extreme. But it can be view as a devil sign because the your flesh is basically partners with him. :p I hope i didn't get anyone lost.

That didn't sound right to me, so I looked something up.
"Celebrating 10 years on PBS, the Emmy Award-winning Barney & Friends continues to entertain, educate and enrich the lives of children worldwide, remaining one of the top-rated TV shows for preschoolers." - http://pbskids.org/barney/pareduc/index.html
Barney is a dinosaur who "...was developed to address the interests and needs of young children ages two to five years."
Let's say a two year old was watching the show when it originated. They'd now be 12 years old. Certainly they must be a very successful and well respected (12-year-old) member of their community. Riiiiiight.
What about at the high end of the scale? A 5 year old watching Barney when it originated is now 15. Uh-huh. I'm sure they'd be a very successful and well respected member of their community too.
This "study" would have to wait at least another 10-15 years to have any kind of meaning. And even then, if such a study was done, who's to say those people found to be successful and well respected weren't going to be anyway?
Studies are bullsh*t. Especially this one (Assuming you didn't just make that up to push your point).
Barney sucks. It just warps kids into thinking the real world is all about songs and kisses and brightly-colored happy bullsh*t. And at such a young age, kids are highly susceptible to whatever's going on around them. After having their sensitive little minds destroyed by Barney and Friends, there's nothing that can possibly be done to prepare them for the way things really are, and that, you see, is truly unfortunate.
Barney doesn't help kids grow up to be successful, well respected members of their communities, it helps kids grow up to be weird, jobless losers who were prematurely braced for a reality that couldn't possibly exist. Poor little buggers...

I agree. But the Tellatubbies, that's a different story! It surely helps me in real life. I don't know how many times I've woken up, looked out the window and seen a little baby in the sun laughing with me. Then, me and my purple, red, blue, and yellow friends skip down the hill, rolling around with flowers and bunnies....Actually, I really wish I could go to that place where the tellatubbies hang around...seems like the most peaceful and nice place in the world, except for the freaky baby sun of course.

Can't say I agree with you. In fact, I'll outright say I don't agree with you.
Anyone who wants to run around with gay teletubbies in a brightly-colored happy land and all that weird stuff needs to give serious consideration to suicide.

Not even my little siblings watch that.

As for folks who watch Barney growing up to be healthy, this wouldn't happen to the same bunch of kids who seem to be getting sexually active at much younger ages or those who don't show much respect for authority are they?

:...:
What's that have to do with anything?
And what kind of a question is worded:
"...this wouldn't happen...are they?"
"...this wouldn't happen to the same bunch of kids who seem to be getting sexually active at much younger ages or those who don't show much respect for authority would it?" makes sense, but: "are they?" Huh?
What the hell are you smoking? (Obviously it isn't the "Bong of English Language Ability")

Quit dreaming? Quit fighting? Quit hoping? Never.
You're falling to the Dark Side. You must fight it. I admit, 18 years here is a long time to resist it, but you must keep focus of our goal, PureEvil. If we quit now, we'll never get there, together, all of us, we can do it.

This is about way more than the original joke that was posted.
This is about deeply seeded, strongly opposing views regarding the entertainment industry and the well being of today's youth! This is about blood, guts, and -- Ah screw it, I don't even know what the hell I'm talking about.
All I know for sure is that Barney and the teletubbies are wack, and that GameMaster and The Germanator have serious issues which need immediate attention leading to intensive counselling.
So YOU chillax.
Pffft.
(And a little tip for 'ya: When people are goofing around, talking about stupid nonsensical bullsh*t, just stay hush, huh? You're taking our arguing seriously, and it isn't. ;))

I dunno, I was joking about almost everything I said, except about visiting the place where the tellatubbies live, it'd be fun. I wouldn't really care if the actual tellatubbies were there or not, I'd build a house on the plush green hills and raise and sell rabbits to children all over. I'm sure it'd be a pretty nice place to raise a family. Though of course this is strictly fantasy, of course I know the real world is not like that, but it doesn't hurt to dream.

Actually, I wasn't so much "joking" about what I said as I was "not having a serious argument" about it. The things I actually said were things I actually meant, they were just... Said in jest, or something like that.
