Is this a punishment or assignment? Use a dictionary, a quote book, the bible, the thesaurus, and an etymology book for reference to use in your essay.

I could easily write 500 words or more on the nature of truth. But instead, I'll just give you a few seedlings:

Ever notice that different people perceive different things as truths? This can be about issues like religion, but it can also be about every day things. One eyewitness thinks the truth is that a burly man charged into the bank holding a gun and shouted "Give me the dope!" Another eyewitness thinks the truth is that a burly man walked into the bank holding a black comb and shouted "Give me the dough!" And of course, the robber thinks the truth is something else.

One person thinks that robber is a monster. The robber's mother thinks he's an essentially good person who fell on hard times.

The true world for us humans has many colors ranging from red to purple, but not so for a dog or a bee. So what's the truth about the appearance of the world?

Do you see where I'm going with this?

Xantar just wrote 139 words. Im guessing that didnt take too long. And he also gave you a great starter, or at least ideas for one.

Only 250? Kinda hard to right about truth in so few more words...or too many for that matter. Infact 250 words may be the worst possible length to write about truth. Your teacher has you right where he/she wants you. Beware!

Like beauty, truth is in the eye of the beholder. Often something true must be proven to be true. But to what extent can something be proven true if the way to prove it true must also be proven to be true. Truth can just be something accepted to be true.

Hmm Danny pulled out a critical lens type essay..

But like everyone said 250 words is rather limited, but I would probably start off by determining what truth is... Maybe add in a quote like Danny gave to make your thesis..Then ofcourse in the body paragraphs support the difference of truth in persona taste and how it could be applied for specifi situation (Such as a white lie to spare someone's feelings)

You can give examples of how truth controls certain aspects of the world..such as the American court system since you pledge to tell thr truth, but nothjng else...

Do it yourself, fool.

Should be easy.
