Winning Eleven 6: Final Evolution

Well my copy just arrived today... HOT DAMN! :eek:

First off, for those of you who don't know, Winning Eleven is a soccer game, and only in Japan. Made by Konami, out on PS2 as well.

Plain and simple, WE6 is the best soccer game ever! Screw FIFA, screw ISS, this is the soccer game to own! Graphics are beautiful, but the controls, my god!

Everything you could ever want is at your fingertips with WE6. The amount of control you have on the ball is insane, and you can pass/cross/shoot 50 billion ways. Want to really high? L+X. Cross at head height, X. Cross at knee height, X (double tap). Cross just above the ground, X (triple tap). They have crap like that for the ways you shoot, and pass. You can pass in the air, on the ground, with a through pass, etc. I do a bad job describing, to anyone interested, see IGN Insider video (http://insider.ign.com/download/video/cube/winningeleven6/winning115fevid_preview.mov).

FIFA doesn't even come close to this game. Everyone who wished ISS would come on Gamecube, stop complaining, get WE6. The stupid Freeloader actually shipped, so I'm sure there have to be a few people here who are able to import. Otherwise, I'm talking to myself.

This game is amazing. Only faces 2 problems, Japanese text, and Japanese commentary. Why won't you bring this to the US Konami??? Oh well, the game is still the same, just need to have the translations sitting next to you :)

Yeh, it's known as Pro Evolution Soccer 2 in Europe, and it's out on the PS2...

I wonder when it'll come out in Europe for the Gc...

But I know what you mean, WE6:FE is the best soccer game ever, no questions asked. I don't even know why Konami bother making the ISS series when they make this. (Oh, and ISS 2 is out on the GC, and ISS 3 will follow).

I hear ya Gekko! I used to be a Fifa fan since 94 (I had the 94 Soccer game on the Megadrive).

Once I played ISS/WE, I was converted. I've been also playing the latest FIFA EA games coz I'm a soccer fan, but ISS owns them all gameplay wise. I will be sure to get this when it comes out. I have ISS Pro Evolution 2, is that a step behind WE6?

I think Pro Evolution Soccer 2 is WE:FE

Pro Evolution 2002 is WE6 is Europe. And Jikkyo World Soccer is ISS in Europe. Europe always has to have their own names. WE6 International is also coming to US PS2 rather soon, and before anyone asks, I have no clue what the difference is between International and Final Evolution, but they are 2 different versions (International being older). And as long as we're on the note of Konami soccer games, ESPN MLS ExtraTime is US exclusive, so there :p Ya, the game sucks big time, but... :(

WE6FE is getting great reviews among the US crowd, something Jikkyo World Soccer didn't. For that reason, the hype over here about ISS3 is next to none. Have you played them Shadow Link?

Yeh, I've got Pro Evolution Soccer for the PS2, bloody awsome, and I've also played alot of Pro Evolution Soccer 2. These two games are a million times better than ISS2 and Fifa 2002/WC and Fifa 2003.

ISS3 seems to be shaping up pretty well, and it's coming out in around a month or so or something, but I'm interested in the next Pro Evolution Soccer game :D.
