Philly fans are consistently loyal to every sports team in their city, but I can't say that they get that excited about their hockey team. And why should they if they always get a high seed in the playoffs but lose in thei first round? >:-/

I'd say the Leafs, the Canadiens, uhhh the Wild actually have great fans.

More hockey talk though, who do you guys think will win the Art Ross now?

Same guy I picked at the beginning of the season: Naslund

Booya. Canucks beat St. Louis 4-2. Canucks are on a 11 game unbeaten streak and have 79 points. Second in the Western Conference and 3rd in the league. 5 points ahead of Detroit..null:)

Oh, and Vancouver will have the division title this year. It's good to be back. 100 bucks fake web money that Vancouver takes the cup this year.

Naslund... Possible. Naslund and Bertuzzi 1st and 2nd? No. :)

Well, Naslund's tied for 1st and Bertuzzi is tied for 5th. So it's a possibility. They were 1st and 2nd last year for points.

Speaking of Iginla, I heard some talk about him being traded to the Flyers...I'd love to have him, but I heard that Gagne AND Williams would have to be in the deal. There is absolutley now way that I make that trade if I have to give up both of those guys. Unless we could guarentee a cup win with Iginla...and nothing is a guarantee with the flyers...*cries* Except for the 5-0 thrashing of the Kings that I witnessed last night...The Flyers are something like 1-10-3 in the last 15 games in which I've made my way up to the FU Center...they finally broke the 14 game losing streak last night. :)

I'd burn down GM Place if Vancouver tried to trade for Iginla. He's a good player but not a great one. 50+ goals last season but what's he getting now? Iginla is overrated.

Speaking of Iginla, I heard some talk about him being traded to the Flyers... Not trade, bought! American teams are buying all the good players!

Iginla is not overrated, keeping in mind that most hockey analysts would leave him off of their top 10 players in the league lists. He's an exceptional young forward who can not only score but can throw his weight around.

Uhh Bouncer, you don't know what you're talking about.

First off, Iginla DID have the most points last year, six more than Naslund did, that's why he won the ART ROSS TROPHY FOR THE MOST POINTS.

Secondly, Bertuzzi didn't finish 2nd last year either.

Thirdly, he's tied for 7th right now, not fifth. He needs to get more points than Kovalev (who has the same amount of points in like 5 less games), Demitra, Modano, Hejduk, Jagr, Forseberg, Thornton, and Lemieux if he wants to be second place assuming Naslund will even get first place, which I don't think will happen anyway. If Mario plays most of the games left, he'll have the most points. He's played less games than everyone else in the top 30 point getters and he's still first place with a four point lead.

And Vancouver doesn't need him, but Iginla still isn't overrated at all in my books. Overrated by who, anyway? He got the most goals and points last year, and this year he started off slowly but is now kicking ass again. Next year I think we'll see the Iginla that dominated last year and the last few weeks, but we'll see.

And Germanator, I very highly doubt that Philly will trade away Gagne, and the Rangers will probably buy Iginla anyway, so I don't think you have to worry about that.

Question: If the Rangers buy EVERY player in the league, and make it a 1 team league, will they still suck?

Yes. They'd still need a coach.

OK, Iginla got 50+ last year. But this year he isn't consistant. The only reason why Calgary resigned him was because of the fans. Iginla isn't the player yet who can carry a team. I'd put him pretty damn close to the top 10 in the league...and in a year or two he'll be there. But as of now...he's overrated. Calgary's paying him what? 7.5 million or something now. He's not on the top 15 goal scorer list.

My bad about the stats thing. Naslund and Bertuzzi were 2nd and 3rd in points for last year.

As for goal leaders this year....Markus is tied for 1st in goals with Hossa at 38. Bertuzzi is tied with Kovalchuk and Kovalev for 5th in scoring.

Markus Naslund VAN 38
Marian Hossa OTT 38
Milan Hejduk COL 33
Jaromir Jagr WAS 32
Olli Jokinen FLA 31
Todd Bertuzzi VAN 30
Ilya Kovalchuk ATL 30
Alexei Kovalev NYR 30
Joe Thornton BOS 29
Glen Murray BOS 29
Keith Tkachuk STL 28
Martin St Louis TAM 28
Mats Sundin TOR 27
Marian Gaborik MIN 26
Dany Heatley ATL 25

New York: Needs a competent GM and coach. You can't win games all the time just by collecting the best players in the league. It was kind of funny when the nyr were healthy scratching Lindros.

EDIT: holy ****....Iginla got 4 goals tonight. meh:rolleyes:
