"Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed that Animal Crossing 2 is on the way and will feature full online capability."
-Nintendo Official Magazine (UK)

I imagine sims online type stuff, though I have never played sims.

Fascinating... the items would never end! Trade your patterns to people across the globe.. and most importantly, cut down other's trees and reap some profit. :D

That's great news! I can't wait!

Does this come with a price though? That could make it fail miserably.

Hell, I'd pay anything that's lower than what PSO is right now. I mean, it's the full-year game... so you'll want to stay online all year.

....oh well.

I wont believe it until I see it at IGN or something. Even though you said it was from Nintendo's UK Mag, you didnt provide a source.

Somebody from the UK told me. We shall have to wait for it to appear on sites cause it was at IGN and its against their TOS to post scans of mags. Oh well...

Every server is a different village.... Every village is a different server...

Travel to different servers... Travel to different villages...

Cause lumber wars...

Raid towns....

Massive destruction in a peaceful game....

*cough*

*shrugs and walks away*

Who knew lumber could be so destructive?

I knew it was going to happen and now its official! (somewhat) I'm hoping Nintendo charges maybe $30 a year for online. Or maybe just have people get on for free! And if you wanted your own village stored on a server, you would pay a small fee to have it stay there. But if you dont want to pay anything, you could just visit the villages of other people (With the axe DISABLED;))

If they charge anything (and knowing Nintendo, they will), it would be something like $5 a month. Yes, that sounds expensive (and it is), but creating and hosting stable servers isn't cheap.

At least this is a step in the right direction for Nintendo. It looks like they're catering to some of the fans desires.

I think it will be cool and all, but it may need more restrictions than the last AC... some freaks online could easilly screw everything up for a city if allowed the freedoms of AC1.

There could also be some survivor-type voting people out of a city which could help.

This would be awesome. I just hope they bring the keyboard to the U.S. by then. *thinks about how hard typing is on PSO* *Shudders*

Well maybe they wont let you chop down trees of other towns, or make the axe more easily breakable.

LOL, Maybe the Monkey dude at the train station will take your AXE just in case... :p

That would be very cool im sure, but Id still rather see Mario Kart Online...both would be nice...:)

But im for sure waiting for AC2 instead of buying Animal Crossing. I was thinking about getting it with my birthday money, but now Im for sure waiting for AC2.
