I didn't really start watching the series close until about 3 months ago... now I have fallen in love with the show.

I was just wondering if anybody else here is a fan of the series.

i used to be a fan, then eventually i lost track of time and missed a lot of the shows, so a few months after that i tried watching it again but i had no idea wut was going on and i missed so much info.

so eventually, i just didnt care about the series anymore.

lol, I can see that happening... miss a good 10 episodes and you are just gone :D

I have only seen the last 3 Sagas (not counting Kid Buu).. you could go to www.dragonballz.com to get caught up... that is if you want to.

Hmm well then you know some things... here are a few questions:

1) Is it true that they are not writing any more Dragonball cartoons over in Japan?
2) if it's done in Japan... how far away is US from seeing the end of the series. (we are at the Kid Buu thing right now)
3) Is the the series going to have any name changes in the future (like how DB turned to DBZ)?

Dragonball is done in Japan from what I know.

I believe DBZ is nearing the end.

The series goes: DB, DBZ, GT.

1) yes, i'm almost positive that they are done writing Dragonball/Z/GT cartoons in japan. they stopped a long time ago i believe.

2) the US has seen the end of the series (i believe), some tv stations usually have to find or import the whole series, so it may take a while before you see the end of the series (depending on which tv station you watch it on)

3) after DBZ there was Dragon Ball: GT (grand tour). it stars Goku (duh), trunks, and Pan. never watched it though.

I use to be in love with DragonBall. Even, recently, I met the girl who did the voice for Bulma! They changed though about half-way through DBZ, though... But yeah, she was really cool. She directing the play we were having--The Little Shop of Horrors. I think she also did Ranma 1/2, and some other anime.

the whole DB/DBZ/DBGT thing is done in Japan, afterall, DB started there in like 1989. DBZ started airing in the early 90's and DBGT was over in about 1998...thats nearly 5 years ago, so the popularity is like..nothing. Why do you think American developers are the ones developing the new DBZ games? :p

I think the series hasnt eneded in the US yet, although I wouldnt know, as I dont have Cartoon Network...

I think after DBGT, the whole DragonBall idea will be finished, its getting rather boring now...well, I stopped watching at when Buu was first revealed...the Frieza and Saiyan saga were much better IMO.

There are even NES and SNES games of DB! :D Some of the SNES fighters are pretty entertaining.

I watched DBZ until Cell died. Then I didn't have any more time to watch it... :( Perhaps I'm gonna download some sagas. :)

I love it too. If you want to catch up on the episodes, and learn about DBGT, then head on over to the Dragonball section of this site. (http://www.pojo.com)

I actually heard that they were starting production on a new Dragonball series, but the name escapes me, but like the two before it, it consists of DB + one or two of the letters of the alphabet :D.

i like the show...watch it everyday:unsure:

what i hate about it is they take too long to do aything...

but yeah, i cant wait for boo to die...we're at Vegito (i thought it was supposed to be Vegetto) fighting boo, and kicking his arse!

Mushlafa

lets see if my memory is still fresh happy.... prolly not.. i have a terrible memory... Goku and Vegita fuse to form the most powerful charectar in the series.. Vegetto (sp?) Vegetto goes ssj2 and beats the **** outta buu... gets absorbed anyway... something happens and they mess buu up from the inside....

I dont think i have any idea what i jus said.. but.. yeah.. it was 2 years go..

fingersman

Your right Mush...but then when they mess him up from the inside and stuff...but then that transforms him to super Boo....and Gokou and Vegita who are now unfused...get wooped again until someone comes up with a plan and boom down goes BUU.

then that's the end of the DBZ series....and GT starts...although I don't really like GT...until some of the later episodes. (very late episodes).

I watched all the episodes before...I was a real DBZ freak.....however what I would love Cartoon Network to do...is start showing the DBZ movies. Since I haven't watched all of them. :D

Right around the time Cell showed up, I got fed up with all the repetition and the insults to my intelligence.

My brother watches that garbage every day. I cant say im a fan. For starters, it is on the same time as the Simpsons, making me go into the basement if I want to watch it. Second, I just completley lost all intrest in cartoons, except for South Park maybe. And I never liked that anamation style...its just seems so...cheap.

I am a HUGE dbz fan(as u can tell from my vegeta icon ). I was a fan of the series ever since my partner hooked me up wid sum of the movies sum time ago . Ever since then i was hooked like a crack head on crack, i pretty much seen them all ,(dbz, dbgt) and im currently following up the db series. most of the movies don't tie in with the series but it doesn't really matter cause they so tight .
the buu saga is my fav cause of how buu just refused to die. the one problem i have with the whole dbz/dbgt thing is that they never gave vegeta a time to really shine , even Gohan had his time (cell saga) but vegeta is always pushed in the back ground which SUCKS ,if your a Vegeta fan like myself ......

Damn right skippy.....Vegita never got his chance to really shine against anyone ( same as piccolo, although his fight with android 17 and frezzer made up for it in a way).

But for a main character Vegita always got pushed back.....and it was either Goku or Gohan that got the spotlight, even in the movies......all the movies except the metal koola movie end with Gokou killing the bad guy and Vegita getting his butt wooped....pisses me off.

They could have let him atleast pose some competition to Majin Boo....but nooooooooo....bah.............damn don't even get me started...........I wouldn't mind gokou winning all the time.....but I just love vegita's character. I like how Gokou's character is protraited in the Jap. version of the anime.

Man and don't even get started on the conversion from Jap to USA. bah

I like DBZ too!

(love Vegeta, and yeah, he always get the short end of the stick).

However, these past months, a certain anime has been winning me over...

http://www.yugiohkingofgames.com/images/wallpaper/wallpaper3.gif (http://www.yugiohkingofgames.com/images/wallpaper/800x600/wallpaper1.jpg) <--- enlarge

Great story line, unique concept, loveable characters, cool monsters/cards, ingenious, well thought out battles, deep plot twists. Lot's of potential!

I quickly became a believer!

It's not quite as satisfying as DBZ, but given the alarming rate it's progressing at, that may change real soon...

PS: I don't think it'll ever be as popular as DBZ though, nor does it has to be. It's just damn tight, and it just keeps getting better!
