So, are there any Golden Sun fans in here? I know I am. I have the first one and I am loving it. I already beat it and can't wait for the second one to come out. So, who else is interested?

Also, for those who haven't played the first one, Golden Sun 2 takes place right after the end of Golden Sun... It is said that Golden Sun 2 is Golden Sun on steroids...

Doesn't it follow the story of Felix and Sheba and stuff? :)

I loved Golden Sun, although it sometimes made me feel sick... :green: weird...

It follows their story after Golden Sun (and a tiny bit before).

I can't wait until it's released. I loved the original.

Yes, I'm looking forward to it. Back in the day when I was first enjoying it I had 30 different sigs and avs. I do love the game. ;)

My friend likes it too, he imported the Japanese version. Thank god for the GBA's multiple territories! This game looks freaking sweet. I don't want to spoil too much, but you can switch your characters in battles just like in FFX, with no cost and all! It's very fun. The summons are especially nice. My friend blabbed my whole physics class about the game and it's features... but I won't, because I don't want to spoil any more for you all.

Oh yeah, and I highly suggest you go back and get every Djinn in GS1 if you didn't, it pays off! *insert rather large wink here*

In closing. Get it the minute it comes out if you could stand the first.:p

Finished the first, and I plan to finish the second

Well, I did the same thing as Agrist... So now I am replaying it and I am almost done. I have 20 djinns. Also, what do you mean you can change characters during battle? There are 4 characters total aren't there? If not, please don't say ANY spoilers. If there are more than 4 characters that can battle, say YES.

Thanks...

I read in a FAQ (I'm a spoiler whore) that there are more than four characters.

Is this gonna be password style like the Japanese version?

Cause if it isn't i'm gonna have a hard time resisting from playing this if I have not completed Golden Sun 1.

Trust me, don't play the rom. Experience the fun on your GBA. After you beat GS1, there are many awesome things you can do with your saved data in GS1 to GS2. No link cable is needed... You can just get the password and transfer it to your GS2. It's awesome.

Also, thanks Ginkasa. You know, it be better off if you don't read spoilers even if you're a spoiler whore.... It really messes up the game's storyline.

Damn you guys are quick... no matter..

The official word is YES. Just backing up Ginkasa so he might not look like a fool... or... something. He did shrug. :sneaky:

About the spoiling thing... after I learned a lot it didn't really affect my experience with the japanese version. When I say there are four at a time in battle, that's not going to kill you! Who do you think catches up?

*cough*

You would have known from the beginning. It's not really a spoiler. Promises are made in the first chapter. They said it straight. ;)

Actually, I don't know much about the story from GS2. I only got as far as the other four people when I stopped.

No. I haven't been using a rom. I'm just talking about when I get this game and the possibility that i might not be done with it when GS2 comes out.

and I probably could not resist playing GS2.

GS2 comes out next year... So you'll be done with the first one and have plenty of time on your hand. Buy it. You'll regret not buying this game.

I'm not so sure about me being done by then.

I'm not the best of RPG gamers(Lets just say i've never beaten an RPG in my life!).

So it might take me awhile

Golden Sun is pretty short compared to most other RPGs. As longas you don't quit trying to beat it and keep at it, you'll be long finished by the time GS2 comes out.

Well, I did some exploring and this is what I found out:

1

Q: Will Golden Sun 2 be longer than Golden Sun 1?

A: Way way longer. GS1 took about 15-19 hours to play through, GS2 took about 40 hours to play through

2

Q: Are the puzzles more challenging or longer?

A: They're defiantely harder than the ones in GS!

3

Q: Is there any new summons in the Lost Age?

A: Yes, 13 of them. You get them by collecting 'Summon Tablets'.

4

Q: Will you get more than 4 party members?

A: Yes, you'll be able to switch them in battle.

5

Q: What about the storyline, what would you say about that...Is it better than the first one?

A: The Lost Age explains all the unknown things in the first one. It'll have some great events with it too. As for being "better" than the first one, yes!

6

Q: Will Golden Sun and Lost Age have some sort of GBA Link Connection? If so, what features will there be in the connection?

A: So far, the only link features are for passwords and for battle mode. It is hard to find out others unless you imported the Japanese version (which I am sure everyone who has played GS2 has done...)

Now, how does that sound?

:D
Especially the part about it being longer!

Are they going to make GS3?

I know it's a bit early. But,the game should run threw a few games. So it's like a saga.

Yes, there will be 6 Golden Sun games on the GBA. It is a saga...and a very good one too.

Also, it's rumoured that they are making Golden Sun for the Cube.

When have they ever said there is going to be more than two GS games? I've only heard there will be Golden Sun and Golden Sun 2.

I remember reading somewhere that the Golden Sun saga will continue until the 6th installment. Now I know I may be wrong, but that's what I remember reading. I forgot the source and I know it wasn't too reliable. But my best guess is that after Nintendo publishes and brings Golden Sun 2 in America, Camelot will start developing Golden Sun 3... Hopefully.

Also, don't forget about the rumoured Golden Sun for the Gamecube...It's either Camelot developing a Golden Sun for the Cube or a brand new RPG for the Cube.
