So I picked up my DS and started playing Diamond again. Last year, I left off right before the last gym. Now, I'm facing the Elite Four with severely underleveled pokemon....
and yet, I was able to make it to the fourth guy in the elite four, taking out all of his pokemon, leaving only his damn Medicham (who is a pain in the ass, might I add).

So I need to train some more, but I don't have any clue as to where I should do that. Victory Road is obnoxious and the encounter rate there is terrible. I guess I should just keep fighting the Elite Four and taking all the experience I can. The only downside is that I lose a lot of money that way :ohreilly:

Anyways, my current team is more than six, because I haven't been able to decide on an actual complete party, so it goes something like

Empoleon, lvl 50
Lucario, lvl 45
Alakazam, lvl 46
Luxray, lvl 46
Roserade, lvl 47
Mismagius, lvl 48
Dialga, lvl 47 (haven't used him once, haha)
Staraptor, lvl 45
Gastrodon, lvl 45.. although I don't think I want him in my party. His stats are seriously low and it's a pain in the ass to have him. The only plus of having him is his Water/Ground nature.

So there's the entire bunch I end up using. What do you guys think I should use in my final party again the Elite Four?

Also, I'm interested in battling/trading with whomever has the game (I seriously need a good fire type that's not a fucking Rapidash). Add me my friend code: 1332 5259 8752.

Hey, I'm right before the Elite Four, too. I paused right before my vacation and haven't gotten back into it yet. We're around the same levels - want to battle?

Haha, sorry I took so long.. What ended up being a "training session" with the Elite Four ended up in me becoming the new pokemon champion with my pokemon.. The battle with Cynthia (the champion) was the absolute worst... Her Spiritomb and Milotic were nightmares.

But yes, I'm ready to play when you are. Let me know.

Because I got Pokemon Plantinum.

And want to do as Geo do and name my Pokemon after some members,
I just started so only have a Piplup which for obvious reasons will be named after yours truly.

Also added you bluefire...for some reason I never really played much after my initial post here and forgot to add you. I've been playing for a couple weeks now though, current team is:

55 Luxray
50 Gengar (Gaspar)
55 Torterra
56 Staraptor
42 Floatzel (currently levelling him up)

My sixth spot is either a
Lv 18 Bibarel (HM slave)

or a level 51 Deoxys. (legit too!)

Yesterday I bought Pokémon Diamond. There's just one problem I guess... I don't have a DS.

But my sisters do. :) I'm going to give Diamond to my brother so he can play. And maybe I'll find a DS (or Ruby/Sapphire) one day.

after the pokemon league you get the boat ticket and can go to the three islands (of which I am told there are 5) how do you catch the rare ones here? the flying ones?

How do you get to islands 4 and 5?

After you leave and go back to the normal game map can you go back to the 3 (5) islands?

How do you get to the island with darkrai on? On the gamesave I downloaded the boat would take me there and the cafe in that town was open but how do you get that to happen legitamately?
How do you get that little hedgehog thing?
Where did you get Deoxys?

I actually have no idea how the islands work - I've never been to a Nintendo event that gave out tickets to go to them, nor have I messed around with any of the gamesave/pokesav technology. Though I would like to.

I got the Deoxys from a Nintendo event that was held at Gamestop last summer - you just had to bring in your DS with diamond or pearl in it, then go into the Mystery Gift feature and recieve it through wifi.

Then you went to any pokemart, and there would be a mailman there with a gift for you. That gift is Deoxys.

It is similar to how you get gifts using the wifi feature of Pokemon Battle Revolution, if you've played that game.

Ok I just bought PKMN Sapphire for €10 and I hope to buy Ruby for €15 (including box/booklet). Should be great fun.

And on a totally random note: a Chinese student passed by, lay down on a couch, slept for 15 minutes and just now stood up and left.
And in case you wonder, I'm at a university building, not at home.

Cool. And whenever you do get a DS/(Diamond or Pearl), you can move your pokemon from your ruby/sapphire games to them. It's a one way trade though.

There is not a legitimate way to get darkrai or arceus at this time. The game is coded to let you do the events if you have the event items. You can action replay cheats to let you get those items though if that helps. They actually have legit coding and everything if you catch them in game yourself, which I did. You can do the same to get Shaymin.

The only way to obtain the items is through nintendo for all the rare legendaries and nintendo has only held an event for shaymin as of right now. In fire red and leaf green there were some events that gave you an item to get some of the stuff though like deoxys and such.

Ok it took me some hours to organize all the Pokémon of the previous cartridge owners. There were some rare ones in there and I couldn't let them be destroyed. Oh I also stole their TMs and stones. :D

Now I started over, I picked a Treecko (the lesser of 3 evils). It's fun.

I think I might be taking this Pokémon business a bit far...

I'm trying to train a Spheal/Sealeo/Walrein, because it would be a great fit in my team. (And I assume it's strong because it has 2 evolutions.)
Now the best ice attack is of course Ice Beam. TM13 I think. Only I already used that one on Wingull/Pelipper. And I don't know where to get another TM13.

So I wanted to breed it into a Spheal (I want to start with a lvl 5 one anyway). Only I can't find a male Pokémon which has Ice Beam.
I caught a Snorunt with it, but it can't breed with Spheal. But it can with Marill. And Marill can breed with Spheal.

So now I'm considering breeding Marill with a Snorunt... and then hoping for a male Marill, which would get Ice Beam. Then I could breed that one with Spheal.

:( :(

I just did some research and found out you can get TM13 in the game corner. That sounds like a much better plan. But still, I would consider that method if it were the only one...
