That is how many seasons it has been for all major Philadelphia sports (counting this past devastating Eagles loss) teams since they have won a championship. I'm only 19 and I already feel like it's not going to happen in my lifetime and it's certainly wearing on me. Sure, it's just sports, but man is it rough.

Anyway, besides that, I can't complain much about recent events. The Spinto Band has just started a policy that we actually split up any money we make at shows. We used to just put everything in a fund, but we decided that it's not the way to go. Guess how much money I made this weekend playing three shows? $21!!!! Yes, and if you do the math, 21x7 means the band made $147 total...Not bad, eh? Considering normally I wouldn't have gotten anything out of it, I'm feeling pretty good right now. The band is also pretty close to signing a deal with a reputable indie label. If things go according to plan, the album could be out as early as May! This is the most exciting news we've gotten in a while, and basically the last thing holding us back from signing is some last minute contract negotiations which is going to cost the band roughly $2000. It's a ton of money, but then again, that money is split 6 ways, and with the remaining band fund chipping in, we're only going to have to play about $200 each...It's exciting though, and once it gets out I expect everyone here to buy a copy so I get my .05% of the proceeds, alright?

P.S: http://www.spintoband.com should be back up. It's been down for about 3 weeks now, but we were finally able to secure the domain name and all of that jazz, so visit away.

What else...Valentine's day is approaching, and again it doesn't mean too much for me other than that it's another reminder that I don't have a female companion. Then again, a girl that I've had a crush on for almost two years is back in town and she came to a Spinto Band show on Friday and it was nice. I became infatuated with her all over again, just like everytime I see her. This time she seemed to be coming on to me a bit. She asked me to dance and she was smiling at me from across the room. Of course with my lack of confidence with this sort of thing, my gut still tells me that it might not mean much, and maybe she was just being nice...I guess the problem is that even if I were to get the courage up to ask her out or something (which I've thought about asking her at least on 7 or 8 different occasions since the Fall of 2003...keep in my mind, she was out of the country for about 7 months, and I was in school for 6...) there is no guarentee that I would get to see her very often. I'll be in school in Vermont, and she will be in Pennsylvania. She's also originally from Australia, so I don't really know how soon or when she could be planning to go back there. I guess it seems like a no-win situation, even though I really like this girl.

I've said too much, but I'm bored...

P.S: If you're a follower of my blog posts, you'll notice that most are posted in the wee hours of Tuesday mornings. I think it's because I'm at my dad's house and truth be told there isn't a whole lot to do here besides surf the net. No video games. :(

Oh yeah, I bought my first ribbon today too. Rainbows, yay.

Of course we'll all be willing to buy a copy of The Spinto Band's CD when it's finally released.

Oh, and just tell the girl how you feel. What's worse; knowing that it wouldn't work or not knowing what could have happened between you two? You don't want to live with many regrets dude. It's a pain to go back memory lane when you have a lot of "what ifs."

It really excites me to hear news of your band's progress. Its just that I have this strong intuition that you guys are going to make it big and I'll be seeing your CDs in my local Target and watching your music videos on the internet and TV. By the way, do you guys have any music videos? Any plans to make some soon? I just hope you still keep in touch with ol' GT when you make it to the top.

I think you should pursue the girl you like. Life's too short to pass up the chance. I understand you'd feel bad if it didn't work out, but I think you'd feel worse if you looked back on it and regretted not taking the chance. Of course, I know this is easier said then done, but if the feelings are strong enough, I think you can summon the courage.

I don't mean to sound greedy, but if you're famous by the time I'm a grown-up, is there any chance I could visit you in real life?

Make sure it gets released in Canada....now, I dont care about all of Canada...but at least Vancouver.

Release it to one of our indie stores! :)

Or....You could just send it to me in exchange for coinage? That works as well.

But Im glad that its all going good, what about new songs/material/anything, and updtae on that?

In fact, we do have a video that was just put online about a week ago. I should've included the link originally, but here it is now!

Yeah, probably. I would hope that some day the Spinto Band makes it closer to the west coast and you could come to a show of ours. Just introduce yourself and we can chat. :)

Typhoid...If it doesn't make it to indie stores in Canada, I hope by then we will have a more functioning online selling system. I hope it's just in stores though because that would be easier, but it could also be on Amazon (and maybe iTunes?) Anyway, sorry for not giving you an EP, but be patient enough and you'll hopefully be getting the full-length in May!

Even if you just made it to Seattle, that would be awesome.

I'll be one of the first to buy the CD. And I have a friend who'd also buy it in a heartbeat.
