Default What advice do you have for the 2003 version of yourself?

I joined GT exactly 15 years ago, which is a cool coincidence, considering I hadn't signed in to the forum in quite a while. Also, I turn 30 in a few months, meaning that I have been a GT member for almost half my life.

Knowing what you know now about life, careers, relationships, etc., what advice do you have for the 2003 version of yourself?

I've never been particularly social or very good at socializing, but the past 15 years have made me much better at getting through social situations than I was in 2003. There's not any specific advice, but if I could just push that collective experience back to my past self I would have a little bit of an easier time through high school and would have enjoyed myself more. If I also knew where my career would take me I would have spent more time learning about computers.

I think be comfortable and confident in who you are.

It's weird that you keep in contact with people online, but it's honestly a trait that will pay dividends once you graduate college.

And yes it is nerdy, but embrace all aspects of who you and what you love doing.

So! I'm going to be off topic here for a moment.

Can I change my user name on this forum? I recently discovered that if you google my nickname, a lot of random stuff shows up here. My 2004-version seemed to post personal things about him all the time!

But if I can change my name to something else, I assume it won't show up anymore. So is that possible? Thanks.

There is more to life than a girl who broke your heart. This will eat you from the inside if you allow it. You are deeply depressed. Get some help, stop pretending everything is ok. Kill "Zen" be you.

Talent will only take you so far. Work hard.

Finish college, you are not "too old for these classes" at 20.
