the games story line is the same, but where you'd find the slingshot, is where the compus used to be, and stuff.

I've been playing a copy one of my friends got. So far I'm getting ready to head back to the mountain as an adult. OoT:MQ is odd in some places.
*Possible Spoilers*
The Dodongo Cavern seemed like I was doing it backwards! That threw me off once in a while! And in Jabu Jabu's Belly, there are friggin cows in the walls! What was Nintendo thinking when they re-made OoT a few years ago.
*End Spoilers*

Must have had some problems digesting or something.

Alrighty, just got back from picking up my preorder disc. But I do have one quick question for anyone. I never played the original Ocarina of Time, considering I never owned a Nintendo 64. So I was wondering would you suggest that I play the original OoT? Or just jump right into the Master Quest?
Thanks in advance.

You're supposed to play the original first. Master Quest is intended for the people have already played through OoT at least once and know the puzzles and stuff.
It doesn't matter if you play Master Quest first, its just slightly more challenging than OoT, possibly more so since you haven't played OoT first.
Plus, the differences in Master Quest won't mean anything unless you've played OoT already.
In conclusion, I siggest you play OoT first, but it won't be the end of the world if you skip to Master Quest.

I don't see how the dungeons are necesarily harder... they're just different (although I've only played the deku tree dungeon so far)... and considering they have the same story and everything else, if you havn't played the original yet I don't think it would really matter which one you play... The differences in MQ don't mean anything unless you've played OoT already? But then if you play MQ first, then play OoT, there would be just as many differences as there were if you played OoT first and then MQ.... sooo... *shrugs*...

Maybe I only think its harder because I'm used to knowing how to get through the puzzles with no problem instead of having to figure it out...
*shrugs*
I don't know...

Dodongo's Cavern seemed like I was doing it backwards. Thats been the biggest challenge so far. Anyone with MQ and is up to the Fire Temple (Adult), I have a question. How do you get the door with the bars open at the very beginning?! I can't remember and I think doing it is new. But after this, comes the Water Temple That will take a few days since I don't have the strategy guide for OoT and I can't remember exactly how it goes.

*cough*
Well, I was sick all weekend with a deadly fever. Funny I should get sick on my time off. >_>
Anyways, yesterday I had awaited the blissfull call that this disc was in. But it wasn't coming. I phoned them just now, and they're (EB) giving me this crap that they won't get it until they get WW. God, idiots. I may have to revert to Microplay.
