And James Clavell is great. I have his whole Asian Saga. My girlfriend also got me the made-for-TV movie of Shogun, and we're watching it right now. It's really good, and a nice recap of the book.
Edit: Typhoid - Me, Dylan, and Becky all have it. I'm in the middle of the third one right now though.

I like James Clavell. I've only read shogun and king rat, shogun's lying in the back of my car right now. Is the made-for-tv series really good? Gonna try finding it..
Is Tai-Pan up to shogun standards?
I'll write some about myself but only if it is asked of me.

Well than tell us about yourself.
I know or think you migrated from AGB, and that KillerGremlin has a secret thing for you since he thinks you are so awesome, a fact he reminds me of like once a week.

The made-for-TV series is awesome. My girlfriend got it for me for my birthday and we really loved it, especially the cheesy sets. However, the entire show was filmed in Japan, and all of the Japanese people only spoke Japanese (except for a couple.) So it definitely feels authentic.
The hair is just downright silly though.
And yeah, I love Tai-Pan. Shogun is more linear and easier to follow but Tai-Pan really gets your noodle in a twist.

Nice, yeah, I got that $400 too in my first year. Bursary, right?
It recommended me to sent a thank you letter to my donor, but they never said who it was. So I never sent one, and I never got a random bursary again. I think it's pretty random though.

Re: The life and times of...
Gather round children and I'll tell you a tale. A tale of old Teuth and his crazy pal Dale.
Well, Dale was a space pirate, and a good one at that. He stole a sparkily crate from a Snarphax craft's vat.
Inside the crate was a small creature named Teuthida. He resembled something between a squid and a cicada.
That dastardly Dale chucked Teuth into the vast abyss. And there Teuth floated until out came a piss.
Urine propulsion and a heave of his girth, set our Teuth on a path with the Earth.
Entering the atmosphere ruptured his spleens and altered his flight path to crash land in Queens.
It was the 20th century, in the year of 84. Found by some humans and shoved through their door.
Raised as a human until present day. This has been Teuthida having his say.

Haha, really once a week? I think I mentioned that Seth was on AGB and that he is a pretty chill guy...I probably wouldn't give him a bj unless I was really drunk though...
Zen is a sexy guy too. I'd like to hear more about Zen, although I know he lives in paradise and is a total ladies man.

I'm obviously a huge Packers and Brewers fan. I used to like the Yankees actually, but I adopted the Brewers since I moved here. I've lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and currently Wisconsin.

Damn, totally missed your bio. You went to a Catholic high school? Do tell more, you're kinda quiet about your religious orientation.
Also, why'd you move so much?

Re: The life and times of...
Wow, forgot I even wrote that! Must have been a while ago.
I went to a Catholic high school more so because it was a superior education than I would have received at our public high school. I've gone to both public and private schools. Timeline: Private (Montessori) -> Public (Elementary) -> Private (Middle) -> Public (Middle) -> Private (High) -> Public (University).
I don't really have much to say about my religious views. It's still a developing point for me.
I moved so much because my dad is in the part of health care (HMOs and PPOs) that is somewhat high-risk, high-return, which results in him changing jobs often.

Re: The life and times of...
Well, I *think* I posted that prior to last summer, during which I interned at a hospital. Hospitals are quite interesting places... but I had trouble coming to terms with my conception of a hospital and its business side, which is what hospital administration would focus around. It just seemed a little unsettling to me I suppose, but it is certainly an interesting profession.
I'm more set on going to law school now (interning at a DA office this summer). With my undergraduate business background I'd probably pursue mergers and acquisitions or bankruptcy law.

Re: The life and times of...
Got to say quite the difference a year has made
Went from not knowing most of the PoCo people to actually meeting them all.
I've met Germy, Bluefire and Acebot in the same time frame.
Hung out with Danny some more, and for some strange reason allowed KG to enter into my world.
All of this on the backdrop of my first real job, which has been a soul sucking experience, but experience nonetheless.

Well I am 21 as of right now and I am friends with Blue and RagedHybrid in real life, and I converse a tad bit too much with BaB.
Mostly he stalks me and talks to me all the time but whatever.
I work on the campus I go to school at and I work in a PC Support Center as a field team tech.
I've been gaming since the time of the SNES/Genesis and Game Boy. I enjoy RPGs and good old fashioned Action/Adventure. Also Gran Turismo.
I would like to know about.....hmm...
