Re: Donkey Konga
I want to get the game...
But 40 bucks a pop for additional kongas is a bit much, no?

Maybe a bit. But I'm not that worried about it. They've gotta make up for the fact that they're giving a game and a bongo for $50 somewhere I suppose.

Re: Donkey Konga
I wanna try this game out. Maybe this one chick I know will get it. It looks SOOO fun! Any chance of being an Arcade version of this game? That would rock.

Re: Donkey Konga
So who else thinks Rock Lobster is the greatest song on there? There are so many good songs - but I definitely like Rock Lobster the most.
When I first saw it though I thought it was Lobster Magnet. I was so freaking excited and confused...

Re: Donkey Konga
Well, I hate to bring this thread back from the dead, but heck I just purchased the game today thanks to TRU buy 2 get 1 free, it's so much easier buying kongas when you get the game at a discounted price.
Anyhow, all I can say is my hands are sore, my leg hurts, and well I think I'm completely addicted. And so are my friends. I need to find money to invest into 3 other kongas, but that will come in due time.
And just for the record, I think the PokeMon song is the best, some sick reason, I don't know why.
I really do hope they release a disc with more songs.. The Metroid Theme, tons from Smash Bros, other songs.. o man I can't wait...

It's called the Japanese versions. Every hear Yankee Doodle in Japanese? Yep, great fun, better with beer.

O I know it's a great game, and it seems Donkey Konga 2 is due early next year. I hope it's an expansion pak, and not a full priced standalone game.

Re: Donkey Konga
I played it some weeks ago in a store with my girlfriend. Totally rad!
But I can imagine you need at least 2 bongos to fully enjoy it...

Not really. Me and the slave are having a blast right now by sharing the one bongo. I take one side, and she takes the other and we both do the claps. Makes for fun times.
Also, the game can be played with the standard gamecube controller although I can't see why you would want to a thing like that.
