So says the ignorant fool!
No really, San d'Oria has a whole lot more going on for it than most people know, that's why it'll most likely have the least numbers. We also have the greatest army, while the people of Windurst hide behind their magic and the people of Bastok hide behind their rifles. For shame.

At least us Bastokans will be laughing when you run up to us with your pitchforks while we're mowing down your army with our guns! Hahah! Stupid cocky Sandorians.
.....
I say Bastok and Windurst ally against Sandoria, then Bastok will turn it's back and burn down Windurst's tree... then Bastok will win!
Haha.
Really though? Who really cares? Just pick your country and have fun.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: FInal Fantasy XI
one thing I dont see being answered at sites is. Is there a lot of human (not hume, user controlled ) vs human battles?
If so, where can they do battle (any big restrictions)? Also, how exactly does taking over land work? SO much I need to know

I'm plan to start off as a warrior, and then black mage, and then samurai, and then dragoon, and we'll see from there.

Thats probly because there is no user vs user battles. You cannot fight other players. The only thing you can do is get better reputation and conquest than them.
This is somewhat how it works. There is tons of unclaimed land all over the world. In order to claim that land, you must have high conquest points (or something like that). When you claim it, becomes the property of your kingdom. the kingdom with more land is more powerful, gets more stuff, etc. But even after you claim it, it can be taken over by another kingdom, which I'm too sure on how that works. My advice is read up on it at the official FF11 site, which you can find at square-enix-usa.com

Hmm...I wonder if they will hold tourneys with human vs human battles. I hope there are a lot of things out there that can cause intense battles.
I just thought it would be sort of a game of, well, kicking someone's ass to take thier land... You walk on it, if nobodys defending it, it's yours, if somebody is defending, fight for it

Too Kingdom-y... though I am considering going Elvaan, or whatever it'll be called. Humaa... err whatever... is going to be too balanced, methinks. But I haven't the slightest idea.

Havent you read the FFXI history? We, Bastok, kicked San'doria's ass in that major battle. What makes you think the future will be so different? Join San'doria, I don't care, but be prepared to be humliated by the Republic of Bastok. Another thing... don't call them "kingdoms" because only San'doria is a Kingdom... Bastok is a Republic, and Windurst is a Federation, not a lousy Kingdom...
Quote:
The Age Of Power
The use of magic brought both happiness and conflict to the other races of Vana’diel. Perhaps the most satisfied were the proud Elvaan, who made their home in the Kingdom of San d'Oria in the northern reaches of the old continent. With the Tarutaru monopoly on magic broken, the Elvaan were able to create powerful orders of knights who feared no adversary.
Beastmen strongholds and Tarutaru villages alike fell before the power of the knights of San d'Oria. Within a short time, nearly the entire Quon continent had come under San d’Orian control.
But pride comes before the fall.
The nation of Bastok, founded by the Hume and Galka races, lay on the southern edge of the Quon continent. Fortified by the growing economic and intelligence-gathering abilities of the Hume race, Bastokan forces crushed the elite San d'Orian knights at the Second Battle of Konschtat. Cutting-edge firearms technology turned the tide of battle and cemented victory for the people of Bastok. This humiliating defeat sent the Kingdom of San d'Oria into an age of internal turmoil and civil war. Piece by piece, territories that the Elvaan had conquered slipped from their grasps.
|
Oh... what's that? San'doria sucked/sucks? That's what I thought. Face it, Bastok is the superior. We crushed the ELITE San'dorians. Hah, stupid San'dorians... think they are so good.
