Re: New Style Survery
BaB's suggested a nice blue earlier, it was like, steel blue or something... kind of a greyish/dark blue color. It was nice.

Re: New Style Survery
This is the sexiest color scheme possible Bond. Keep this and take up a few suggestions to switch/remove/add some things and it's all good IMO.

Re: New Style Survery
Yeah.
I liked the whole experimentation with blue and green. Stick with a darker green I think.

Re: New Style Survery
Yeah and I thought that... I guess it's just a good look. I tried to think of things before that didn't resemble GAF but it always just ended up being GAFish... *shrugs*

Re: New Style Survery
With modified graphics to fit the color/style better, it will be good.
NeoGAF is just modified standard vB; standard vB is standard for a fairly good reason. Its very practical and readable. I don't think it's a problem. Add different color palettes if you want to differentiate from the universal blue, but this as a basics option is keen.
Noticed two things so far:
-Quick reply box header needs to go from grey to new blue as well.
-Usernames next to posts are a little huge

Re: New Style Survery
Green, Blue, and perhaps black modifications of this standard, along with Fusion, seems like a nice way to offer some different looks without actually having to manage three to four completely different themes.

Re: New Style Survery
I don't want to make a topic for this.
I have noticed that the "Who's Online" page defaults to sorting alphabetically by username. I can't remember, but I believe vB allows you to designate which criteria to set as the default for sorting.
Most forums go by "Last Activity" since that gives you a quick picture on who is really actively browsing (since the list is keeping track of people that might not have actually clicked anything in 15 to 20 minutes). It can make it a little hard to gauge who is actually, truly on at the moment.
I usually just click "Last Activity" to sort it anyway. Is there a use that someone else has for the alphabetical method that I just don't think of?
