Re: BioShock Has Arrived
No, I returned it to GameFly. I don't play games I don't enjoy, it defeats the purpose to playing for entertainment purposes. I returned it so I could get Skate, which I'll keep for a week or so, before returning for Halo 3, which I'll keep for a week or so, before returning for PGR4, rinse, and repeat.
Only game I'm forking money over for in the near future is GH3. The rest I don't have much time to play, so I'll rent, get a little feel the couple times I'll play them, and return. If I care when I get more time, they'll be cheaper to buy.

Re: BioShock Has Arrived
So, I rented this and I'll admit im not THAT far in, maybe 2 hours or so, but so far I have to agree with Gekko. Its just not all that exciting or even fun. The graphics are amazing yes, but thats all its got going for it...

BEST COSTUME EVAR!!
And I just got a 360 and Bioshock, and YES, it is everything its cracked up to be. Anyone who participates in a debate of whether or not videogames are an artform NEEDS to use Bioshock as an example. I've never seen such a complete and successful combination of game and art as Bioshock.

I forgot, its the wife's family who pays for the wedding and honeymoon.
Because there's no way in hell a freshly married man on a teacher's salary could lay down the cash for a 360 and game. Unless, you summoned a credit card from the depths of hell.

Actually, we paid for most of the wedding and the entire honeymoon. I work as a corporate trainer, so I get paid a little better than a scholastic teacher, but my wife is a Project Manager for a Pharmaceutical Company... CHA CHING!!!
Plus, you get a lot of money when you get married.

"O darling what about a beautiful house near the coast?"
"I was thinking, it was about time I got me a 360 and Bioshock. Hell, we don't need a new place to live.
Bioshock!"
To keep in line with this debate, Bioshock will probably go down as one of the few games I've ever purchased, never played and gave away.
I'm sure the game is awesome and maybe a little overrated review wise. But I got it and was just feeling FPS burnout, and after the demo I realized it doesn't appeal to me which sucks but eh.

Re: BioShock Has Arrived
You have a point. Part of my enjoyment, dare I say "glee", in playing Bioshock could be the fact that I've been entrenched in PC strategy games for the better part of two years. Its been a good two years for strategy games...
In fact, Bioshock is the first console game I've played in over two years... wow... two years... jeez...
