Re: I saw the matrix-spoilers
I saw the movie last night with jonbo.. I liked it overall. it was a generally good movie I wasn't there to find all the answers even though I felt it left me a little high and dry it did answer alot of my questions. But I would like to see how the humans and machines end up. Like does zion finally come to the surface and start rebuilding a society with the machines ?

Well Ace, actually completing the story wouldn't leave any more room to make even more increasingly bad movies and make even more money off of everyone's enjoyment of the first film. Plus, telling a story would take precious time away from those incredibly long battle scenes.
All hail the Wachowski brother!!! LORDS of the Hollywood sequel!!! Accolades to them and their self-indulgent merchantile "ART"!!!!
Everyone happy now?
I actually hope that this movie is a success. That way Warner Brothers can take the money from the profit and put it towards something of quality.

Re: I saw the matrix-spoilers
When the first Matrix came out, I wasn't a huge fan... it was 'ok'... Then eventually I took a liking to it... Then reloaded came out, and it was just kinda eehh ok... now Revolutions... And it's just eehhhh....
Stuff was cheesey, stuff took too long, stuff was boring...
And I really hate kung fu battles... They seem so out of place in the matrix, and they're so boring to watch... I also don't like the flying (same with reloaded)...
And don't you think they could have come up with something more original than a giant talking face? Does everything have to be so big and flashy? Why couldn't a normal robot come down and talk to him? Nooo it had to be a giant talking face made up of many robots...
The End...

Simply put, that would be retarded, lol. Plus, it would be too "simple" for a machine. I don't know, I'm just making stuff up, lol.

I made a list of 20 of them in an earlier post on this thread.

And the talking face wasn't? We weren't the only ones in the theaters laughing and wondering "What the fudge?" when the face came together...
And when I say a normal robot, I don't mean one of the sentinals (that's what they're called right?), it could just be some other big important looking robot... Just not the giant face! Anything but the giant face! NNNOOOOOOOOO!!!
Also I think about 3 hours could have been cut from Trinity's death scene...

While very funny looking and quite possibly cliché, I can find the purpose of its use. The AI was programmed by humans... Even though the one that talked to Neo wasn't necessarily directly programmed by humans, human thought would still have a large influence on its design. Why would a robot programmed by humans try to think up a new way of communicating with humans? Also, the robots are a bit like bees. Either a core controls the masses, or they're just that damn coordinated due to their mechanical perfection. In the real world, the computers didn't make any androids that I know of... so the only way they could have human physical movement is to take the masses and mock the movement, similarly to what happened in the battle. All the little bots were working together, or were all commanded together just to form a face.

Heheh... despite the fact that it's the most practical form of melee combat? Weaponry obviously wouldn't help very much against the super elitists of the Matrix (agents and Neo)... as the bullets could be dodged. Instead, manipulation of one's body is the best form to hit a target and inflict pain.
As for the flying... err, what exactly is the problem? The graphics? I assume it your problem isn't with the legitimacy of flying being used in the Matrix, as it's obvious that if one could disobey gravity, what is to keep them down. Flying is much more mobile than staying on the ground.

Re: I saw the matrix-spoilers
If the machines only had Windows XP they could Ctrl+Alt+Delete just look for process smith end it and not have to worry about him messing up the matrix.
then the humans would have been doomed because neo going up there would have done nothin.

The only problem with that idea is that the computers probably know the percent failure rate when performing CTRL ALT DLT to end a program... and damn is it ever high. My computer just can't take it.

And? As the great Maddox said about "Reloaded"...
Quote:
There are going to be websites popping up left and right trying to justify this movie, trying to rationalize everything, but there's one thing all these geeks are forgetting: just because a movie makes sense, doesn't mean it's good. There are plenty of movies that make sense, and are about as entertaining as a box of pig ****.
|
Though I like big confusing storylines sometimes (silent hill), and making every little detail make sense even though 99.9% of people who see a movie wouldn't think through that far (if they didn't fly in the movie, I doubt many people would be wondering 'So if they can do this and that, why couldn't they FLY!?') could be a plus, the facts stand:
a. The face made me laugh
b. Kung Fu bores me (at least it did in The Matrix)
c. I thought the flying looked stupid (and yeeesss it was possible in the maaatrix and blaaah de blah I had no problem with that)
and to add another thing, the final fight between Neo and Smith was bleh... Not only was it just crazy camera angles and crazy grr I will rip your face off, but it was also crappy flying (and they spun around each other a billion times) and they did that damn run into each other and have the rain go WOOSH like 4 times... It was as bad as The Reloaded fight with all the Smiths where he beat them all then more came and I was like "Oh look, more" then even MORE came and I was like "aaaaaand moving on..."

HA!!!!
I was right!!!!!!
in the predictions that i made all of them i was right!!!
the religious part and everything and all the things i was right
cool
well i was a little dissapointed with the ending but the movie was good
man the ending had no point to it
it just reminded me that i had to slap my sister on top of her head for bothering me during the movie *(thanks little indian girl)*
the fight scene when neo and smith fight in the air was kinda stupid
my friend told me that it was badass and it just sucked *(Dragonball Z my ass)*
hahahahahahahahhaah

Re: I saw the matrix-spoilers
ya....other than a few well placed kicks by seraph, there was very little kung fu in this movie..... that kinda disappointed me....air battels can't replace good old fashioned crazy kung fu

Re: I saw the matrix-spoilers
As far as the giant face goes, who was talking? Did the voice of the giant face belong to the leader of the machines? Do the machines even have a leader? If so, who is it?
Also, when Agent Smith "infects" Neo and turns him into a Agent Smith copy, is it Neo that summons the power to destroy Agent Smith as well as all his copies, or do the machines (or the leader machine if there is one) send power through Neo's real body to destroy Smith and all his copies?
And... are there currently any plans for a fourth movie because I want to know if Neo is dead?
Also, I still don't understand how Agent Smith transferred himself into the real world in that other guy's body who was in a coma as well.
