Re: Daredevil
Can I also be nice and state the obvious?
Steps to marriage:
1) Graduate high school
2) Go to college
3) Live on your own
4) Discover who you are as a person
5) Get a job, a career, have some direction in life
6) If you get in a relationship that's serious, move in together, find out if you can truly deal with living with each other
7) Get engaged
8) Get married
See, 8 simple steps. You should start with #1. Now for the guy.
How old is he? Follow the appropriate advice.
If younger --> The kid is crazy, break it off right now. He needs serious help if he's under 16 and wants to get married. End it now, for your sake, and his.
If the same age, or 1 or 2 years older --> Take off the ring, keep dating. Do not choose a college because of him, do not choose a career because of him. Do your own thing. If it's meant to be, it'll work out. Meet some new people, keep in touch, find him when you're out of college, then get serious.
If older than 2 year --> End it, now. Anyone who is proposing to a 16 year old needs serious help. He's not the kind of guy you want to marry. It would be no surprise if there had been some abuse in his family, or if he grows up to be abusive as well. Run away quickly.
In the end, it doesn't matter how old the kid is. Anyone who is engaged to a 16 year old has problems. Don't try to write off Shooter as a dumbass, he is, but the point here is you were attracted to him. You're attracted to kids who have problems, and I don't think the situation is any different here. For your own sake, end it, and do not have any kids.

We keep tabs on everyone here at Gt, it's like a mini-cult, once you are in, you can never get out. We know everything that you know and more, we know stuff you won't know for years.

Like Andromia is getting a divorce?
You noticed she avoided talking about her relationship. It's a sign...
Oh, and your friend Shawn needs to get some confidence. He looks very stiff and uncomfortable.

Ya I know... everyone says he has a stick up his butt... I'm the only girl that he's friends with.. and he's only dated two girls his whole life and still a virgin.
I'm only avoiding talking about my relationship because everyone is giving me a hard time about it. Who's business is it anyway? It's my life... who cares if I'm only 16, If I'm in love with the guy what does it matter... Those 8 rules don't apply to everyone... I have family friends that were engaged in high school and they are married, have a kid, and still together.
Oh and just for the record... if I have kids I WILL NEVER SIGN DIVORCE PAPERS!

Nothing wrong with waiting until you're out of high school to date. But looking at him, I can only wonder. And yes, he has a stick up his butt, I can tell you that from here.
As for the rest of your post, at 16 you think you're in love. Outside of your strange family friends, few people would agree with you. There's a reason for that. And even in the slight chance that this is the guy you'll marry, it's just stupid to get engaged at 16. Also, I'm sorry, but any decent man would never propose to someone who is 16.
Who's business is it? We're concearned for the future of American society. And you should be concearned, both for yourself, and the guy.
As for having kids, it would be better for the kid to be with a single parent than to be with a disfunctional family. Never say never. Use protection, we don't need to pass problems on to another generation.
