Default Ruby or Sapphire?

I'm thinking about maybe getting a Game Boy Player in the next couple of days and I need an opinion on which Pokemon game to get. (I need something to last a good amount of time since this will be my first GBA game purchase.) I've been playing a little bit of Sapphire on Rom and it seems good, but I noticed there are only 70 something pokemon. But I haven't looked into both games and seeing which is the better one. Any GT'ers have an idea of which one is better or which one you would recommend for purchase?

I dont like Pokemon. If I were you, I'd get something like Wario Ware(great replay value) or...maybe Golden Sun or something if your into RPG's.

I got sapphire and it's pretty good... It has about 200 pokemon in all (out of the 389 created) which isn't bad. The story is pretty weak, even though it's miles ahead of the older pokemon games. For the most replay value you may need to have some friends with the games so you can trade, update records, and make berries (you will understand when you play it)

I have a friend who has Sapphire. Maybe I should get Ruby so that trading would make more sense. And I partially understand the whole berry thing. I've got some from what I have played so far in the Sapphire Rom.

I really want to play Wario Wares. I bought LInk to the Past instead because I never managed to finish the game on the SNES. I almost beat it already though =\
