I'm amazed at how well this turned out. I am absolutely drawn into the Metroid world.

After having played the game for a couple of days, I must say this game is absolutely awsome. It's awe inspiring. Nothing on any other console at the moment comes close to this gem. It truly does deserve a place next to OoT as the best game ever. Though I do still think that OoT has the edge in the sense that it provided not only the best, and memorable moments, but a countless number of them. There are actually quite a few so far in Prime.

There are no losers with this game. Metroid freaks will love it because Retro and Nintendo have managed to retain all the awsome stuff that made the previous games great, and more!
And any other gamer will love it because it is just a truly awsome game. So much polish in the graphics, sound and gameplay departments, it's unfreaking believable.
Who would have thought platforming in first person would be so incredibly easy?

This game is a must have for ANY cube owner.

Get this game NOW! (If you can find it) .

Just picked it up from my local Target. It was the very last one, lucky me! I have yet to play it but based on what's been said by others here I have no reason to doubt.

Default METROID!

here whats i think of it
Graphics: 5/5 i'de like to see xbox or ps2 handle this game
control: 5/5 mmm flawless fps
music: 5/5 its like batman beyond meets aliens
gameplay: 5/5 i think its the best game out fpor cube and probably the best game out for any of the next generation system. It has taken fps and made it complex enthralling and perfect. The nintendo site said it sold 250k copies in one week which is amazing. This game is without a doubt one of the best 3d games evermade. Like always Nintendo has provided and quality intellectual game unlike its mainstream competition.

Well I just beat Metroid Prime today (14:26, 69%) and I must say the boss fight difficulty REALLY shot up at the final three bosses (I'm not going to spoil it and say who they are) So anyway, here's my review.

Presentation: 5/5 (The opening menu is really cool)

Graphics: 5/5 (Pushing the GameCube to its limits as far as I'm concerned. There's a little bit of slowdown sometimes, but it's not too major.)

Story: 3/5 (Well it never really explains anything in the game. To gain the story you have to scan all the Pirate logs, which can became a nuissance. But I'll say the story is pretty interesting with all the Space Pirates' genetic experiments)

Controls: 4/5 (I would have preferred a duel stick set-up, but after the first hour or two the controls feel natural. )

Sound: 5/5 (I like the old Metroid music re-mixed in the game.)

Gameplay 4.5/5 (I hated some of the backtracking, but I do realize that it's vital to make it feel like a Metroid game)

Replay: 5/5 (Getting 100% will take some time and after you beat the game once you open up a Hard Mode. You can also connection with Fusion and play the original Metroid)

Overall: 4.5/5 (If you don't have cash to burn to buy it, then be sure to rent it.)

actually i think Xbox would handle the game quite nicely..........I'm not to sure about Ps2..........it might lose some detail or what's not but Ps2 could handle the game as well.

metroid is an average game but compared to the heavyweights of consoles it fares well

Here's what to do: First you got to the second door on your right. There, defeat all the enemies and watch as a secret door opens. Enter it. It's kinda dark, but somewhere to you left there's a small hole. Roll up and go through it. In the next room you have to defeat the enemies in a specific order. It's easy, from small to big. Then the door will open which leads you to a save point. After the save point, defeat the boss and get the new item.

Seriously though, I don't have the game.

I got this game on Sunday and I am compleltely amazed at how well the conversion from 2d Metroid to 3D metroid was done.

After a while of playing the game I started to notice some creatures from the previous games.

The length is also very long. I've been playing for 4 hours and am only at 16%.

The bosses are a nice challenge ad the upgrades are the best(Especially the ones involving Samus's ball forms)

The enviorments are very nice. Espically the ice one(The name excapes me at the time) and the screen effects(Steam,Water,Refelction of Samus's face when near electricity, and the blast from those little creatures that get one your screen). It actually gives you the expirance of being in Samus's suit.

This is the best GC game so far(And will probably be the game of the year from Gamespot and IGN).This game alone(along with Super Mario Sunshine,Super Smash Brothers Melee and many more future realeases)was worth the money I paid to buy my GC.

Angrist,

You should import. You would get the game faster and also you could write, and read english. So it wouldn't be much of a problem for you.

And you wouldn't have to wait till next year(It must be horrible to wait that long)
