The teacher conferences at my friend's school is either Friday or NEXT Tuesday... which gives them a 4 day weekend...
But he doesn't go to a normal public school... he goes to this magical school "program" that offers more freedom to choose classes and such, similar to that of college...

yes, I read it, but it's a mean cute! and DH, I didn't get a chance to tell you because you weren't on, lol. and We got Tuesday off for elections, and we get this monday off for a teacher work day. There's only one week in november that I go for a full week of school, and that's in two weeks, but otherwise, we have one day off each week for different reasons.

Marionette is lucky. I think if all school weeks were four days, grades and test scores would climb. I'm being serious, I think students would perform better having that one extra day off.

Id have to agree with gamemaster on that one. A happy worker equals a good worker.

Of course, then we would get used to the 4 day week and then get lazy again. When we would have a 3 day week for some reason, we would say "Wow. I wish I had 3 day weeks all the time." And the cycle would begin anew.

Well, we don't go four days every week. It just happens to be so that we have a day off of each week in November, besides one.

Yeah, except that 3 day weeks could never be negotiated. I think four day weeks could because you still have more work days than weekend days.
