Not sure what you don't like about that. It's almost an exact copy of Metropolis Zone from Sonic 2. Minus that blasted homing attack.

What's your beef with it? The only thing I can see about the game that would bother me is that it looks like things are slowed down a bit.

The gear thing in this level is kinda shitty too, but there are plenty of shitty aspects to levels in past Sonic games.
