I think he just wants to be shown with a bunch of femine symbols around him. I would worry for your friend.
Anyhow, didn't play much last night because was attempting to catch Rotom, which based on speaking to people shouldn't be happening so soon, but he is only a level 20 so he fights into my team perfectly.
As of right now I only have Pokeballs, Premier Balls, Heal Balls, Nest Balls and none of them did the job. He was paralyzed and only had one health.
So how soon until I get other balls with a greater chance of catching him? I think I will just forego that part of the game for right now.
Also, they re-did some of the gyms in Plantinum it seems. As I don't remember a giant floral clock in the second gym or maybe I don't remember well anymore.

I'm telling you, you should be able to acquire some timer balls and quick balls by now and those will help greatly. You can't get great balls yet even?

Re: The Pokemon Journal
I've been interested in setting up a Pokemon tournament where your roster is randomly selected and you have to work with it to make the strongest team you can.
Essentially all Pokemon final forms would be put in a list (NO LEGENDARIES) and using random number generator, each player is assigned 10 pokemon. If you want to use one of the Pokemon's earlier forms, that is allowed.
All players know who the other players have on their list.
The first two weeks would be comprised of everyone helping eachother get the Pokemon for their rosters, then everyone gets two months to train their team up (lvl 75 cap).
The tournament is round robin, and you choose your 6 most suited to fight each player based on their list.
Would anyone be interested in doing this? 3 or more people would be preferable.

Re: The Pokemon Journal
I'd do it.
Are we playing any particular archetype, or just anything below Uber is fine?
http://www.smogon.com/ has a strategy pokedex with each poke's listed archetype

Re: The Pokemon Journal
Anything below uber pretty much. I have a list of all final forms (minus legendary) with an number attached to each one. So random number generator would select each group of ten.
Then it's grind grind grind.
If we can get Moogle on board that would be sweet.
And perhaps Combine and Fox would be interested. I leave that up to you, earl.

Re: The Pokemon Journal
Well, considering I have a DS, and Pearl, I'm down for that - as long as I can get my DS connected.

Sounds like it's time to downgrade your wireless security to WEP.
Who cares if a 5 year old could hack it?

Re: The Pokemon Journal
Good to see I am getting everyone back into Pokemon.
I had two new members to the clan caught a Gligar (first time I've seen the Pokemon) and named it after one of my HS friends.
Alslo caught a Ponyta which is the first fire PokeMon I've seen.

And it's the only one you'll see for a long, long time.
You won't run across another wild fire pokemon until you beat the game.
Also figured out why you were encountering Rotom - you can encounter him early in Platinum rather than having to get the national dex.

Re: The Pokemon Journal
Hey, I just got back into it just because of these threads. I hope I'll finish it this time around (then maybe I'll finish The Phantom Hourglass as well )
I would be down for some battles after I level up some more..
