Ah, I could totally see lying if that was the only way to get your Xbox replaced. I mean, if you have to lie to a multi Billion dollar company, at least its an evil one.

So does spending $400 on a machine that is prone to malfunction in multiple ways. You are not lying as much as you are creatively holding the producer of a faulty product to normal production standards.
In my mind, if you create a faulty product, you are morally obligated to fix it. If you don't, then others are morally correct in making you do so.

And to be fair if it isn't the RRoD now, it will be soon enough.
Better safe than sorry.

Re: About the 360 hardware failures..
Didn't want to make a new topic, so I decided to ask here..
I just can't decide on what games to buy. Bioshock is a definite purchase. I also want a good, accessible offline multiplayer game, and I just don't want it to be a shooter - but I still have some shooters on my list .
Here's what I'm thinking about :
-Marvel Ultimate Alliance (I'm leaning towards this)
-Forza 2
-PES2008 (have it on PS2, so not really a good choice)
-Halo 3 (just for it's coop mode, otherwise not really interested)
-Orange Box (but I think it doesn't have offline multiplayer)
-Gears of War
What do you think about these? I'm only going to be buying one..

Re: About the 360 hardware failures..
-Marvel Ultimate Alliance --> only when it's dirt cheap?
-Forza 2 --> no idea what it is
-PES2008 (have it on PS2, so not really a good choice) --> exactly
-Halo 3 --> isn't the single/coopplayer very short?
-Orange Box (but I think it doesn't have offline multiplayer) --> don't know either
-Gears of War --> don't know much about this game

I'm not sure why you bothered to post this...
Anyway, Ultimate Alliance is very good, if a bit repetitive. The character powers and animations make up for it though. I'd give it a solid 7 on a REAL 10 point scale.
Forza 2 - Great if you love unlta-realism in driving games.
Halo 3 - Must have if you own an Xbox 360, if only for the multiplayer.
Orange Box - Uh, YEAH. Get it. Three great games in one package.
Gears of War - Yep, get it. Its bloody, visceral experience.

You have Ultimate Alliance? Do you play online?

Of those would go with Marvel. Believe it is the longest offline game on your list. Many different characters to replay and stuff. Tons of characters. A fan dream come true.

I haven't played online as yet, because I still haven't gotten my wires set up. That and my Verizon DSL goes out every 30 minutes... I need Comcast...

Re: About the 360 hardware failures..
Sorry, I thought Ultimate Alliance was a crappy game, but maybe I'm thinking of the Wii version.

If you're not a comic fan or a nut for unlocking new powers/moves etc., there are plenty of reasons not to like Ultimate Alliance. The gameplay is repetitive and without online/multi-play it plays like an uninspired beat-em-up. I think crappy is too strong of a word regardless. It makes devalues the word to describe truly crappy games like Big Mother Truckers.
Bottom Line: If you play online a lot or love comics, its a must buy. If not, I'd rent it and see what you think.

Re: About the 360 hardware failures..
Umm.. Prof.S.. You just told me to buy all those games, am I right? I wish I could, but..it's impossible
I'm guessing MUA is a good choice, from your comments.
Although I have them on my list, I don't want another shooter. I just thought they might be good for multiplayer..

Re: About the 360 hardware failures..
Umm..thanks for the recommendations people, but I'm looking for a multiplayer game.. I'm thinking about Halo 3 or Gears of War (and maybe still Marvel), because they both support offline multiplayer and online play with guests. Is it easy to play with guests, does my guest need Gold Live account, for example? Or is a Silver account enough? Or maybe they won't even need an account? I'm only buying 2 games, so I don't want to run into any problems..
Thanks for everything, btw..

The guest wont need any account at all. The game will give you the option of choosing a guest and they will have your account name with a (1), (2), (3) and so forth.
