but thats totally not the point. point is that being able to do it to me is just not at all worth the purchase all by itself... its like i didnt know that i could get the internet on laptops or pda's, so getting the internet on the psp was its main selling point and worth the purchase all by itself. (which is not the case because there are cheaper ways if that was the main point)
its a nice extra feature, to the main console (which is what should and will be the main selling point)
also i dont think nintendo will be trying to market this as a main selling point, if they did, i think they'd be living in the past a little too much. I think it'll be marketed along the same lines of xbox lives arcade. probably a little more tho.

Actual the point does change. Just because most of us can do it, doesn't mean everyone can or want to. There are folks who want these games. And you can see that simply by the fact that retro collection generally sell pretty well and if you go to malls or anything you will probably see those plug n play games that people go crazy for.
And again, your point with the PSP depends on the person. I had a friend who was going to buy either a PSP or a video iPod and she was leaning towards the PSP because unlike the iPod it did offer internet. Is that an everyday occurence? No, but it is possible.
And why shouldn't they market it as one of the system's biggest assests?
Sure they should and will market their own new games on the system.
But I can see some people's decision coming down to simply being able to play classics like the original Mario Bros or Sonic game again in addition to new Rev games.
Heck, I would go a step further and say I wouldn't be surprised if they offered some retro downloads as a compliment to buying their new games.

but your missing the point. she was going to buy one or the other, and got one because of a bonus feature.
what im saying is, the one bonus featue that makes it WORTH the price ALONE. im not saying no one would do that, but for one feature ALONE, lets take a PDA with internet $100, PSP with internet $300, and your getitng it for just the internet.... people might do this, but i have trouble seeing for that feature ALONE worth an extra $200 for no reason.
now add in the extra features that one wants, then the price because worth it for all the features it can do.. but something like that alone, dont think so.

one of the biggest assests or features, yes, thats exactly what i've been saying.

in total agreement, never argued anything different.

Re: Virtual Console Explodes.. Sega and Hudson
I could buy 3 Video Ipods to house my PC's 30,000 songs, or I could buy 180 PSPs to house my PC's 30,000 songs. That'd be crazy and I'd need tape.
I have a Turbo Grafx, how cool is that.

I'll get a list of them tomorrow, I know I have Keith Courage, Battle Axe 1 and 2, and this Dragon game.
My biggest fear is pricing. Not too long ago Nintendo was selling NES and SNES games for 30 bucks on the GBA. I dished out 30 bucks to play Super Mario World for my GBA, but only because it was portable. If Nintendo tries pulling that crap with the Rev. I won't be purchasing any games for it. But somehow, I get a feeling the crappy SNES and NES games will be like 5 dollars and the goods ones will go for 20 or 30 bucks.
But I said it once and I'll say it again, if emulation is your game you want a rev this console run. So far the Xbox has not impressed me and the PS3 looks like it will be the same. I mean, I don't want to play into biasisms, but the rev. is starting to look like it might be the console that gets Nintendo back on track.

Re: Virtual Console Explodes.. Sega and Hudson
I would say they'd be a dollar each.
Still you'll probably get a bunch that are free as standard. Like 10 or so. That's my speculation. Then you have to pay for the rest.
