It's funny because at the time when I posted that for some reason I had Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive in mind as a couple of the games Sega has made for Xbox, but of course those are made by Tecmo... *smacks self in head*
Now that I think about it I think the most likely second/first party pairing would be Sony... I think they've been biggest with the PS2... Maybe... Why do you think it would be Nintendo?
But I dunno... It could be them entering the console business again, but why? They got out of it because it cost them a ton of money... Getting back in could be like sending the company off to face CERTAIN DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Sega Hype
No need for companies to 2nd party with Sony because 3rd parties can just create a p.o.s. game and the mainstreamers will buy it and become an instant million seller.

Re: Sega Hype
If Sega does indeed unleash a new console, I'd think I'd buy it out of support if nothing else. How I long for another Genesis era, woe is me.

Re: Sega Hype
the announcement was leaked that there is going to be a merger between SCEA and Sega.
^ the above isn't confirmed yet But I have a strong belief that Sega and Sony will INDEED merge, because my uncle in Japan says Sega and IBM is working with Sony present-day to complete the PS3 system. So i wouldn't be surprised that they merged... just so they can both profit from PS3 sales, and exclusivity of Sega games.... NBA2k5!

Re: Sega Hype
If anyone is concerned about money, there is going to be 2 version of the PS3 console,
PS3-G and PS3-X and the explanation following will make it more clearer for you guys.
PS3-G : Strictly for gaming and nothing more priced under $250.
PS3-X : Basically a next generation home system including PS3 gaming, network abilities, harddrive, cd-r burner, and all the goodies priced at $450-$600.
Anyone who is a die hard, tried and true PS fan will want the PS3-X, and anyone who just wants to experience the games exlusive for PS3, can just buy the G model.

You seem to pretend like you know things...
Although two versions of the PS3 would be a neat thing...

Actually, I think it would be a failure on par with the 32X or the 64DD.
