I'm a republican, but I still try to take an objective stance most of the time. However, Bush hate just pisses me off now. Its really old.

I agree with most everything being said. Hate crimes are so easily manipulatable and anything can be a hate crime depending on how it is spun. Now, of course, some of the time it is a hate crime that occurs, but often it is simply people (namely liberals) yelling "HATE CRIME!" at anything involving anybody.

Very stupid if you ask me.

It is foolish to think that laws are the solution because you cannot put laws down on something that is open to interpretation and not clearly defined or else it will break down.

But yes, politics, shmolitics.....

Honestly? I could be turned into a Democrat if people didn't senselessly criticize Bush. You know Bushisms and that chimp page? There are so many democrats, and people of no importance even, that slip on their words now and then. Most Bushisms are taken out of context. And what... the fact that Bush, like all humans, resemble apes makes being a Republican foolish?

I sway to intelligence. I stick with Bush... because despite the fact that he has troubles, he's hanging in there. It's like it with every president. The opposing party finds everything possibly wrong, and exxagerates it.

Dylflon. While the United States does affect Canada... Canadians will never have a vote until they are a part of the United States. That option has been open, but I know it'd be messy. Until something like that happens, Canada has to keep its mind in its own affairs.

Keep your eye on Canada, and see what's going on there. I can assure you... as in all politics, not everything is peachy.
Even I agree that a lot of bush hate is stupid. I don't hate George Bush the person, I hate George Bush the president. I hate his policies, I hate his attitudes, I hate the entire administration's use of patriotism and terrorism. Terrorism has driven a lot of this bull**** religious right crap through the system, It's fueled the patriot act. Nationalism/patriotism and fear have given this administration free reign and a blank check to piss on the bill of rights.

But it doesn't make George Bush a dumbass, in fact, he and his administration are simply exploiting the pure ignorance that lives and breathes in 95% of the population. It may make them cold harted, greedy, slimy, republicans but it doesn't make them stupid.

Though, admittedly, compared to the rest of the presidents and the rest of the political figures today, bush ranks pretty low in intelligence, but he's still above most of the rest of the world's population.

Now you want to talk about hate, Anton Scalia, there's a guy I'd ballbat given the chance.

You know, I'm not a fan of the Patriot Act either, but to those who say that the Bush administration has pissed on the Bill of Rights and trampled our freedoms I ask this one question:

"How has your freedom been affected by the Bush adminitrations policies besides longer airport lines and minor inconvenience?"

I don't want to hear about theoretical possibilities or "this one guy in East Jabip", I want to hear one example of how your freedoms have been suppressed by the pariot act or administration policy. Anyone on the board is free to provide an example.

For starters.

Every step this country takes toward becoming a theocracy damages everyones freedoms and goes against the 1st amendment. Those steps include but are not limited to many of Bush's federal court appointees.

Ok, maybe I wasn't clear in this case, even though I specifically said NO THEORIES...

Please give me ONE EXAMPLE of how his legislation has EFFECTED YOU. No theoretical mumbo-jumbo. No "this could happen in 50 years".

Please give me ONE EXAMPLE of how Bush's policies have TRAMPLED YOUR FREEDOMS.

Double-posting is a sin, even if you are doing it to make a good point.

Well his computer crashed while replying to this, but I'm holding out that he'll re-post. He made an excellent response to the other thread we were... conversing... on.
